Old Iron 3

An in-depth look at rare and unique collections of antique and vintage snowmobiles. So just where are all these Old Iron sleds of yesteryear? Is this a disease, or an obsession, or simply a hobby? These mysterious questions are answered in this third in the series, Old Iron III . We will showcase Old Iron machines in original, as they were discovered condition, right through to completed restorations. We find these gems in the possession of various collectors, and at vintage meets across the country. The Waconia Ride-In is the granddaddy of vintage and antique events, showcasing rare & unique restored sleds including this year s featured sled, the Rupp. You ll also get a front row seat at the parade of sleds entered in the annual ride. The A-1 Show in Michigan is where you ll find just about any part you ll need in the restoration process. We ll also make another visit to the Eagle River Vintage weekend to catch some vintage models racing, and we ll ride the trails in Naubinway, MI on some real beauties. Finally, we ll open the doors to some of the rarest and diverse individual collections presented to us through the eyes of passionate collectors. You won t believe your eyes! All this and much more.

Your snow flake by Carly, looks like a Bear Cat snowmobile that I used to have back in the 1990's in Kingston On, Canada! I painted it and drove it for a bit. I sold it and got into the late 70's Yamaha's with the gas tank at the back of the seat. Great collection you have there. Quite a few from Canada eh! What will you do with them all? I only have one now, 2004 RX Warrio 4 Stroke by Yamaha. Great sled for crusing the trails - but not a ditch banger. Glad you saved all these old sleds.

nice! that mini polaris owned by the first guy they interviewed that he said his granddaughter restored and the sno pony he said his grandson restored were the chief inspiration for the two sleds owned by characters in a comic strip I write. many is the vintage sled adventure I've had the joy of drawing and writing.
