If Green didn't foul out, he probably makes a bucket or two in the last 3 minutes and that's the game right there. That fifth foul was such a horrific call. Anyone disagrees, look at it and say with a straight face that's a foul. And if that's a foul, then JV gets fouled on every possession.

The refs are the reason Raptors were in the game. Celtics were outplaying them the entire game but refs kept sending Raptors to FT line.
Kesihan Raja - Nonsense! for most of the game the Raptors shot more 3's than C's. Celtics shot less 3s but more efficient. The Celtics were out rebounding them, more assist, more fast break pts. The FTs kept the Raptors in the game. At the end the refs finally started calling fouls on Raptors.
Kesihan Raja - At one point in the game Raptors had 15 more FT attempts than Celtics. The final stats were balanced out when refs started calling fouls against Raptors at the end. FT attempts werent even close at one point, all while Celtics were leading in all other categories. Again FTs kept Raptors in the game.

The refs were awful this game, gave the Raptors bs calls which helped them during the game then they bailed out the Celtics to get OT and in OT.
The hometown refereeing of this game was more blatant than any I've seen in a very long time. Which is saying something considering the degree to which NBA outcomes are engineered. The more blatant one that I'm thinking of is the Cavs over the Warriors in the 16 final. The NBA so wanted to get the Lebron goes back to Cleveland narrative and rehabilitate the face of the league. And so many traditionalists wanted to kill small ball in its crib that the refereeing was glaringly biased in that series. This Boston game though is the worse I've seen since then. Gotta get that Celtic - Laker rivalry back on track after all.....ratings, ratings, ratings.
