I am not planning to own one but you have a lot of knowledge that could help a lot of people. Who do you think will win the Kentucky Derby? This looks to be the most wide open field I've seen in years. BTW, I've been a horse owner, but pleasure horses, not race horses. I did have a job with the Royal Jordanian Stud exercising Arabian race prospects. My string got a handful of feed quality linseed and they had the best coats in the whole barn. It helped them with regularity, and my horses never colicked by the way, for that reason. Another reason is that I was very particular about the hay the horses were getting. The director of the RJS program in the U.S. was taking price shortcuts on hay, and those of us who worked for the stable checked through the entire hay inventory for mold, and did find it. So I used some of my income to buy bales of prairie hay (a nice mixture of dried grass, clover, and lespideza), and my string thrived. One of my favorites in my string, a mare named El Bawaga went from the winter uglies with a starring, dull coat, to a shiny, sleek coat. In fact, the barn veterinarian said "She looks SO right!" He meant for breeding, but I'm not sure who they ended up breeding her to because I accepted a horse job elsewhere. Plus, one thing that was not considered when gathering together breeding stock, mares and stallions... the horses were all too closely related to each other already. I looked over the pedigrees of the stallions vs El Bawaga, and recommended a retired race stallion elsewhere in the stable, Saad Jamil. I don't know if that breeding happened.

No never happened, no thoroughbred ever came from the wild, Gary are you sure your a horsemen? Thoroughbred is a man made problem, sweetfeed and good alfalfa clean water is all you ever need feeding three times a day, fillies typically won't eat like colts do, in amounts, vitamins don't get stored the horse uses what it needs for that day and eliminates the rest in urine, and BM, corn oil is a source of fat ,gelatin is an old wife's tale , salt is an electrolite, thoroughbreds are notoriously finicky about eating many a colic was caused by beet pulp feed

Stating that a colts and fillies eat differently honestly Horses at the barn would have a Philly and a colt and the Philly would eat more than the cult so in this situation you were 100% wrong and Thoroughbreds are not a man-made problem they’re actually one of the best horses you can get one of the most sweetest hotheaded silly horses depending on the horses personality. Speaking from the equine professional I don’t think you understand that it’s a difference between race horses that typically race between 2-3 years old.I feed my horses Parina race ready GT and I feed them beat pulp and sweet feed and I also feed them all out because my babies are still growing and I also put them on Triple Crown complete and Triple Crown Growth until there five years. And then I’ll switch them on a beat pulp-based diet that has more beat pulp than it does sweet feed and this produce has a high sugars are these horses are ready to run and increase their performance and I also add in a couple supplements for the joints in coat and in feet. In this case you’re not a horseman for a equine professional because your statement is not only incorrect it’s very idiotic and Stupid. Learn about horses before commenting on somebody’s channel and you know there’s going to be equine professionals. Please grow up and act your age.
