Sidious: Everything is going according to plan. Congratulations on capturing the chancellor.
Grievous: Much appreciated master. Are you perhaps here on my ship to congratulate me, in person?
My scanners detect you’re here.
Sidious: 😳 *Hangs up*
*Grevious:* And should the Chancellor be rescued, that will just result in him spreading the virus to senior Republic officials.
*Siddious:* What virus???
Did Kenobi and Skywalker get the virus then?
Sidious: Proceeds to turn off family tracking
It’s also a crime that Lego didn’t make a trioctupara droid Mygeeto set
They did in a battle pack of airborne 212st but it was pretty much the size of a Lego mini figure which was a crime. I’m a Lego Star Wars fanatic
@@Idkidkidk716the 212th troopers and airborne troopers were fantastic though
@@indianajones4321 absolutely I have so many Lego stars wars sets even got brasso to remove the printed mini figure print so I could water slide decal custom clone trooper designs
@@Idkidkidk716 epic
the reason they didn't make one as far as i know is that they couldn't get the stability to work out with it's legs having to carry a lot of weight while being in an awkward position
It's also a CRIME that they weren't a Vehicle you could get into in Star Wars Battlefront 2 plus the Spider Walker
*deliberately ignores the likes of the Enforcer, Spider, and Vulture droids* But they're droids!
You could. On the Geonosis map as the CIS, you could get into the spider walker. I am talking about 2005 Battlefront 2
@@SidorovichGaming i know I just wish on the newer one on GA you could get in a Spider Walker to combat the AT-TE's just cuz I barely win as the CIS on that Map it'd just be more fun too
@@SokwanNhep I'll have to add that to the list of things that we need in battlefront 3
Wouldn’t make since for a vehicle since it is itself a droid. But I could see em as a reinforcement.
I love how Star Wars goes the extra mile to explain the origins of its creations. Especially how they are usually based on a creature, from the creator species’, home world.
I've always loved these droids and didn't like how they weren't used often and I'm glad they're finally being talked about
general grievous: you had me at walking war crimes
I wonder if the Tri-Droids having Bio-Weapons inside them was a veiled reference to the Martian Tripods of 'War of the Worlds' also using a gaseous bio-weapon.
There scarcity is likely due to their high price tag. The CIS like to use swarm tactics and these droids cost twice as much as an AAT.
Tri-Droids: *exists
Reg Clones: *PANIK*
Anakin: “lol, time for some parkor.”
501st: “grab your jump packs, boys!”
Octuptarra tri droid is one of my favorite droids in star wars l wish we seen more of them in clone wars
I can assume that the Magna Tri-Droids’ large size made them easy to take down with artillery. Especially the ordnance launcher variants.
Artillery?! We don't use this words in Star Wars!
@@ImperativeGamesepisode 1 of clone wars serious
@@sethb3090 Do you mean catapults? Yes, catapults are accepted within SW's space war doctrines. As well as sticks and stones. Some of the best SW armies are equipped that way.
The tri-droid could have potentially turned the war had they been more widely used
There was also the Combat Tri-Droid variant. It’s a bit smaller and only seen in Revenge of the Sith in Utapau
Dude have you even watched the video? He said exactly what you wrote, barely two minutes into the video😂
@@haraldtopflerAnd he literally mentions at 8:38 how they were said to be the original Tri-Droids, and that they're kinda rare, they only show up on Utapau in Episode 3 and on Coruscant during the Clone Wars miniseries and associated media, and those 2 other battles on Mikaster and that other planet
Yes, thanks for the criticism bois lol. Also the Magna Droids are the only ones who appear in Clone Wars based Empire at War mods, most notably Fall of the Republic. Combat droids needs more love lol
@@dmann5938 Unironically same, the Combat Tri-Droids and those big ass Banking Clan space stations that look like towers are so underused in general, I think those space stations would be awesome to build as the Seppies in Empire at War
@@ChrisVillagomez well there’s this other Clone Wars mod where the Banking Clan gun platform and the Magna Tri-Droid appears. However they stopped updating that mod. I just hope that Corey Loses, the one who made FoTR and Thrawn’s Revenge implements the Combat Tri-Droid because I know that the Manga droid appears in that but not the IGBC platform
0:36 also TELL ME THE EAW MOD
Can we get a video on the Collicoid Protodeka?
Any Geetsly’s video: *mentions war crimes*
Grievous: *Is for me?*
When the Separatist Council, of all people, is hesitant to field your weapons on moral grounds... yikes.
Really hope these get brought into legion soon, would love to have such an interesting center piece model in my army
The War Crime Walker. What an terrifying nickname for a droid.
I like how in the Clone Wars season 7 it shows them flying
Ah yes, my Favorite walking Warcrimes
Usually its either too expensive to make or sidious straight up ban them
Literally walking war crimes. What more could a fan ask for?
The ultimate head glitch abuse and they didn’t want to hide it behind anything
*"Walking war crimes"* man i love star wars. Thank you H.G Wells
Tri-droids being based on civilian models and having mini-warcrimes does have a bit of sense to it. They probably removed something and replaced it with a gas dispersal system that had some extra omph.
Similar to the false surrender of the other side.
Great video 👏🏻
Grievous: Ab yes another war crime to add to my collection.
I always wondered about these droids in particular. Thanks for covering them!
The magna tri-droids only appeared so easy to destroy because literally every appearance of them showed them being taken out by the literal chosen one.
😊 1:40
Or mace windu. 2 of the most powerful Jedi besides Yoda. Not a fair match against these giant walking ball heads.
I like the tri droid cause it's more of an automated vehicle like the Snail droid. A much better armored unit than the AAT which had a big weakness, the crew.
Good. The less ugly war machines used by those Sepper sleazebags, the better for the galaxy as a whole.
Their price is always a good assumption on why certain CIS droids aren't used much, I mean, especially with the price for the viruses, and transportation. But also, I can see them being hard to just randomly deploy on the batlefield without preparations.
A useful droid but at the same time rather impractical as it’s only real use would be in dire environments that would better protect it from stronger weapons where the enemy is limited on their ability to fight back
Pretty much every droid with “tri” in its name was good.
0:04 man I get he’s a bit wide but he’s just a large fellow imagine how he’d feel being called a VEHICLE
Love to see these videos…you do a heck of a job going into depth analysis and explanation. Keep up the good work! Subscribed
Rip my bois CIS :(
I'm kind of disappointed that we didn't see much of the chemical weapons of the CIS like Dioxin grenades and missiles.
If the tri-droids were OP, why weren't they used more often?
Expensive, I’m sure. I mean they certainly look it
Also because the writers didnt want the cis to win more
@@cgstudiosthebaconbroNo
@@teleportedbreadfor3days Sureeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Plaps wanted to win the clone wars his way and got rid of any powerful droids or hardly used them to make sure he would win
So, basically this is a Skakoan Robot Dog - with fricking laser beams?
But I guess "War Crime Walkers" also has a ring to it. Not a nice one, but certainly one.
"War Crime Walkers," my brother in the force, General Grevious, is the God General of War Crimes.
We out here getting up in that Octuptarraussy.
I gotta say I love your gaming community!
Between the Octupterra Magna Tri-Droids and the AT-AT Walkers, which one is better suited for doing the Rumbling?
At AT has to be lmao now I want a star wars edit of AT Ats with the rumbling song in the background might have to make one now myself
@@deceptivegaming6481 You might have to make one yourself. Because I have not seen one so far.
@@lerneanlion ive only made some anime ww2 ones before for shits and giggles that i have posted on yt atm but ight ill start making an AT AT on tonight or tmr
A strong droid model - Well, until a certain youngling killer shows up.
Another CIS vehicle the i barely know about because we haven't gotten a proper Lego version.
Oh yes grievous the war crime enjoyer is my favorite nickname now
This would have been really good at picking out ranks. Though the plagued feature is usefull for taking out clones that kill it from its blind spot, combining it with what is essentially a sniper vehicle makes for a miserable application. Also the fact that it's so tall makes it an even bigger target.
I played a Men of War Star Wars mod... And MAN these things were OP as fuck
after I saw the rocket truthers variants it felt like they should have been the standard. it almost feels like these Droids are meant to be a paratrooper something the CIS seemed to lack.
Octuptarra tri droid, for all their manoeuvrability, massed deadly powerful weaponry and varied types they were able to deploy on the battlefield and able to react quickly to any threats. They are glaringly vulnerable to long ranged artillery, due to their massive size making them a prime target and to rocket propelled rockets or lightsabers when it came to taking out a leg and crippling it in one stroke.
4:53 which mod is this, is the octuptarra, and is it playable?
I have two versions of that droid walker in Lego the combat one from the utapau troopers battle pack and the Magna variant that I made my self
Please do a video on cis navy structure and ranks
With their all terrain capabilities and a variety of load-outs, and the smaller versions, I could see these being used by clever commanders in rough terrain warfare against republic defence and clone forces. Or early imperial troops in the post-war conflicts.
I wouldn't rate them on open terrain very well being so tall, probably makes them easy to pick off with AT-TE mass drivers. So perhaps a more niche tool for most battles over more standard walkers and hover tanks the setting tends to stick too.
It's a tripod from "The War of the Worlds".😮
It’s a crime that the Senate does not get the recognition that he deserves.
Love this droid but I would prefer it was a small variant only and have the OG9 homing spider droid as the heavy walker
No, I feel like rhe Octupara droid should replace the Homing Spider Droid as a whole. Homing Spider Droids are impractical as hell. The slightest breach in its armor will cause it to explode violently.
How many had plagues in there heads
Wow “walking war” crimes 💀
i mean....just give it 4 legs, then you have to take out 2 of the legs to topple them.
Did anyone think the concept was based off the tripod walkers from "war of the worlds"
I cant wait for January 1st 2024
That lego clone trooper and battle droid battle pack looks goods.❤
Ah yes, Geneva Grievous, general warcrime enjoyer
I remember fighting that creature in fallout 76
Why cutting of barrels destroys fireams in SW ?
I guess you could say this was the biggest war crime of the Clone Wars, not using these Walkers more often.
LOL.
Needs more hovertanks. Also, high power beam cannons, these Star Wars conflicts.
@@michaelandreipalon359 Agreed.
Blame Palpatine.
4:52 what mod is this for Battlefront II 2005?
9:18 this one too?
Imagine if one of these droids were filled with the blue shadow virus
The techno union army _ooooooooouuuieeeeeou_ is at your disposal, count.
War Of The Worlds SW edition.
❤️❤️
🤔 . . . I can only think of one other virus droid: nano-droids…
Why they need them if they had spider droid ?
👍
I wish we got lego trideoids. Wouldn’t be too hard to design them…Then again the greedy bastards at lego would over price it…So maybe we’re better off with out it.
Thank you for getting back to actual Star Wars lore. Nothing disney makes is canonical.
When you say it's a crime they weren't used more, was the joke intended?
I’d like to see your sources about count dooku and nute gunray and their views on the deployment of these weapons
Like
First of all this is fiction, so it didn't happen. Secundo, heavier weapons tend to be more expensive and even fictional armies must comply to this universal law.
Impressive equipment . However, I ask future generations, do you exist to serve machines of A.I. or are they to serve you a utopia . The power is in your choices today .
Edited bit: Now I'll go to my microwave and wish it could do what star trek machines could . Monsanto you suck .
Seems it’s just bad writing.
