A buzzer beater means the horn sounds leaving no time on the clock between the time the player releases the ball and the ball going through the basket. In most of these, there is still time remaining after the basket is scored. Even if it's just a tenth of a second (0.1) left, it's still not a buzzer beater.
1. Some of the quality is just garbage and hopefully the NCAA can release some high quality videos on their CZcams channel. 2. @@FrankieG if you want to get technical, a lot of those shots weren't exactly buzzer-beaters. Some teams were able to call timeout after the shots went in.
Solid video and not to nitpick but some of these there was well over a second left when winning shot went in and a couple had 3 or more seconds left so not true buzzer beaters.
This makes me wonder how many of those shots would have been disallowed by today's clocks, which now measure 1/10 of a second, and/or the frame-by-frame replays.
Rules were different too. The NBA stops the clock on every score in the last 2 minutes. College didn’t do that until the mid 90s. You had to call a timeout to stop the clock after a last-second shot.
