Hello everyone! Welcome to this video!
On a late September day, myself and my friend Michael headed out to a long awaited and needed trip to Canadian Forces Base Trenton just outside of Trenton, Ontario to catch some military action in the area.
Trenton is the home base for the Royal Canadian Air Force C-130 Hercules, C-17 Globemaster and CC-150 Polaris however since it’s a military base, anything can stop by there without hassle. On the day we went, we were treated to Royal Canadian Air Force C-130H and J Hercules’, CH-146 Griffons, a CH-147 Chinook, Beech 350 King Air and Challenger. We also had two foreign C-17 Globemasters at the base as well, one was from the Royal Australian Air Force who arrived the day before and departed heading to Honolulu and the other was from the Royal Air Force who was here for a few days and was doing local training flights to Ottawa and then around the base for the majority of the day.
Enjoy the video everyone! Catcha in the next one!
    Cheers,
    Ernest G.

our nation needs to spend serious money to upgrade our wonderful armed forces, including the RCAF. Let's hope the folks in Ottawa agree.

Thanks! Military rarely if ever at all comes up on FR24, so you need an ATC Scanner and some good experience with call signs to know what’s coming in and out.

Too bad no alert hornets went up...always a couple in the bubbles on the North side of the Field by the ordnance igloos. They been there since 9/11 to protect Toronto and the Nuclear Facility's along the shore of lake Ontario. there is a PDF file that can be found online came out in 2001 that talks about it.

The Hornets aren’t based at Trenton. They come from Bagotville occasionally on missions. It’s always hit or miss on the weekends and that’s pretty much the same reason I think I heard that they come around.

@@ErnestGutschikAviation your right they are not based at 8 wing, 3 are stationed there. in the bubbles on the north of the field. there is normally 2 at CYTR at all times with room to fix one and bring in a backup. I will find the PDF and link it when I get home from work, im just on my way in lol
