- At First Ministers Questions today, Anas Sarwar blasted Nicola Sturgeon and her belief that an increase in funding is an actual cut to councils across Scotland.
Mr Sarwar asked Nicola Sturgeon 'to finally admit she is cutting local government budgets?'
He continued 'All 32 Scottish councils are united against this government's cuts.'

It’s never her fault is it? It’s always someone else’s. I suspect that’s why she wants Scotland to “rejoin” the EU; then she’ll be able to lay the blame on the Europeans as well as England, Westminster and the Tories. Sarwar isn’t a particularly brilliant performer but he’s just about the best Labour have had in Scotland. Sturgeon’s facial twitches and head jerking are getting ever more pronounced. She reminds me of one of the marionettes from the 1960s Thunderbirds television series for kids. The evil Hood, has been replaced by the gender neutral Krankie.
Mark Shrimpton, you got it right when you said Sarwar was not a brilliant performer but that applies to the whole opposition in the Scottish Parliament. The easiest way to defeat the SNP would be to put up a decent opposition, but until that happens Nicola Sturgeon will continue to wipe the floor with the likes of Anas Sarwar and his "opposition" friends, I think that he is a decent person but Scottish Labour needs a leader that is a bit more ruthless,but I don't think Anas is that person. I have had my say and I will now shut up.

Why are they asking people like me to "Pay a bit more" do I get more local services for that? NO, do I get my bins emptied quicker and more frequently? NO, do the roads I drive on have less potholes? No, do I get preferential treatment at the Health centre? NO, do I get anything more for "paying a bit more", NO. But I will tell you who DOES get more, people that are hooked on drugs, who become involved with the police and courts system more, people who decide to have large families so they can stay on the dole cost a fortune to educate, and in many case absorb much if not all of the social services and a lot of health services as well. That's why I work and earn more to pay more, for people like this, in other words, SNP voters who use all the services that people who work, and don't have a life, pay for!

Cut all MSP's salaries to what the national average wage is (about 23k) and remove their expenses - this will save a lot of money which could be used for whatever! Now there's a solution to the problem and it helps the MSP's too because then they get to learn what real people live like which should open their eyes.
