Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten has been in Hawaii. In this adventure we are going to revisit some of our most favorite restaurants on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. I lived on Oahu while I was in the Navy. I am so excited to see some of my favorite spots again and eat with my eyes! Haha! I was a little emotional watching, I miss the food SO MUCH.

@@OrdinaryAdventures Mountain Magic Shave Ice is a good one too! Nothing beats Waiola but Mountain Magic has 2 locations closer to the west side of Oahu. Plus there’s a Leonard’s Malasada truck next to it.
What I would do to watch a video of Peter and Kitra at home cooking their favorite home meals together ❤ Absolutely love your guys energy, you always make my days so happy!

We went to Hawaii on a family trip 2 years ago. I specifically wanted us to try Kono's bombers after watching your first Hawaii videos , and we are glad we did. Great recommendation y'all.

Yay!! So happy for all the Hawaii videos. We were stationed in Hawaii and miss it so extremely much (hoping to get stationed there again 🤞), the food is just uh-mazing!!! We unfortunately didn’t stay at Aulani (we were a very young family and couldn’t afford it) but visited it a few times and went to the beaches a lot behind those resorts.

Aw you guys are really practicing the aloha spirit helping out the little zebra dove. Eastside was very much my hometown when I lived on Oahu: I went to school in Kane'ohe, Kailua and Waimanalo were the go to beach spots, I worked at Makapu'u point at the Oceanic Institute and Sea Life Park. Even though I technically lived in Makiki in town. When I heard South Beretania the nostalgia was strong. You'll find your honu eventually, just need patience, they have to come up for air eventually. Mahalo nui.

As someone who’s been to Maui, I can swear by the banana bread. So worth it, best banana bread I’ve ever had. I don’t believe it was by the Seven Brothers but it was a roadside seller that only sold in the morning near the rainforests/snorkeling areas on the northwest side of the island on the way to Honolua Bay. Anyways, incredible stuff. Obviously homemade daily.

My family and I love Oahu just as much as you do! We have eaten at most of those places, but haven’t been to Seven Brothers yet. I just read that they’re planning on opening 19 locations on the mainland. So if we don’t make it to Hawaii soon, we may be able to try it at a mainland location. 😄

You warmed my heart, thank you for helping the bird find the way out. Birds see differently. The room would have appeared cylindrical, they cannot see the glass and it's even more complicated with monocular vision where the eyes focus separately. ❤🦜❤

Monkey pod is so good. We usually go there multiple times as the food there is better and cheaper than Aulani

There are soooo many resting turtles on Poipu Beach in Kauai if you haven’t visited Kauai yet! I visited in October and I saw dozens of turtles in the daytime and at night, monk seals, and little tidepool creatures.

Love this video! You did hit the good spots. I was fortunate enough to live on Oahu from 2005-2009. We went to north shore and to Matsumotos all the time. It looks so much different there now. It was just the shaved ice place with a dirt parking lot next to it. We have been back in 2019 and 2021 and couldn’t believe how much it had changed. It is the best shaved ice and unless you go.. you don’t know. Im with Peter on the no seafood but my husband and son loved that shrimp truck. Monkeypod is amazing.. much agreed.. always makes me miss Hawaii when I see these. Thanks for sharing.

@@OrdinaryAdventures Pig and the Lady in Chinatown is good. My kids were younger then so we went to Big City Diner a lot, there are a few around Oahu, Maui Tacos- if they are still around -was good. Koa Pancake house in Wahiawa. It’s a hole in the wall but good pancakes.

I also really like the garlic shrimp and macadamia nut coconut shrimp at Seven Brothers. One wouldn’t assume they excel at this but they really do!!!!

Watching this video makes me miss the island!!! My wife and I lived there for 3 years and would go back in a heartbeat!!! The next time you go to Oahu, if you are a sandwich person, I recommend going to Ohana subs in Wahaiwa. Best sandwich on the island

What is good there?
My wife would get the Shaka Shaka, it has salami, pepperoni, and bologna, In would get the Koko crater, which has pastrami, ham, bacon, and salami. I would add avocado to it and they have a papaya seed dressing that is to die for. Whenever we would go to the beach that was our lunch. In your video you said you wanted to see turtles, the best place that we saw them was a beach called Aweoweo.

Cannot suggest what to order coz It's All Ono!-lol...FYI...ALL of their offerings are named after NS surf breaks!-lol...And you Have to ask for their papaya seed dressing!(Getting me Hangry now!)-hahaha 😂
