Restoring An Old Axe

- I found an old rusty axe from a flea market and I decided to give it a new life! I had to buy a new handle for it because I didn't have any material for the handle but at least I saved some time that way. I used clear coat for finishing the handle and later I realized that it might be a bad idea because it might cause blisters if the axe is used a lot. A couple coats of oil (ex: boiled linseed or tung oils) will work for a finish as opposed to a clear coat.
Yeah that's what I thought too. I'll be using the axe for a while and see how bad idea the clearcoat was. I'm gonna buy some danish oil for my knives and slingshots and maybe for the axe if I have to sand the clearcoat off.
the video could have been a lot more lit
I guess you mean its too dark, and i agree on that but I wanna try to keep filming fairly cinematic and that requires manual settings on my camera (I used automatic settings on my older videos). I have pretty much the best settings for sharp quality but my lamp really sucks, it's not really that powerful and it's on the other side of my shop so it makes lots of big, dark shadows. I have to get another lamp or go back to automatic settings which are not cinematic at all.

Hei, Olet luultavasti jättänyt kuvan tummaksi taiteellisista syistä. Joku ehkä saattaa pitääkin ko. tyylistä, mutta se myös tekee videoista melko vaikeasti seurattavia. Toivottavasti palaat vanhaan tyyliisi.
joo hyvä kommentti, oon itseasiassa itse aikalailla samaa mieltä. se on kyllä munkin mielestä liian tumma mutta sen pitäs parantua jos saan toisenkin lampun verstaaseen. mun nykyinen lamppu on TOSI huono kameran manuaaliasetuksille (erityisesti vahvistaa varjoja valtavasti). iso-arvo on yleensä 800 tai 1600 ja siitä ylöspäin kun menee niin kuva menee rakeiseksi. ja kamerassa video näyttää paljon paremmalta kun tietokoneella joka vaikeuttaa paljon. mä yritän miettiä keinoa parantaa sitä mutta jos en keksi muuta niin palaan sitten varmaa automaattiasetuksiin kamerassa vaikka en siitäkään kauheesti pidä.
NorthWeapons Hieno homma. Kuvaat usein aika lähikuvaa, joten kameraan kiinnitettävä kuvausvalo voisi toimia myös. Varsinkin nk. ring light -tyyppisillä saa varjotonta kuvaa läheltäkin.
juu se vois toimia mutta kattolamppu toisellekki puolelle verstasta vois varmaa olla parempi kun multa meinaa loppua työskentelyvalokin siellä
