I’ve always associated slam poetry with a rougher kind of speaking, with a passionate sort of venom in their voices. This poet’s voice was so passionate but so, so soothing. Their voice felt almost like rain. Not once did their voice raise or yell, but I still felt the same passion. Absolutely beautifully done
