City of Heroes 2019 - Ep. 51 - Incarnates - What To Do When You Reach Level 50 (Endgame)

I've gotten Kill Dozer up to level 50, the maximum level in the game! I must be finished then, right? No way! Now begins the endgame in City of Heroes, an exciting (if complicated) system called Incarnates, in which our characters begin working towards greater power and abilities.
There's a lot of information on the Incarnate system in Paragon Wiki, but some of it is outdated. Still, I encourage you to read this or the details involving the incarnate slots we'll be unlocking. A great resource for you is on the Homecoming Forums under Guides. Robotech_Master has written "A Comprehensive Guide to the Incarnate System" which tells you a huge amount of great information on the system. Another helpful guide there is called "Early Incarnate Mini Guide" by LK Marleigh.
In this episode, I go over the basics of the 6 Incarnate slots (Alpha, Judgement, Interface, Lore, destiny, and Hybrid), and we do Mender Ramiel's story arc in Ourobourus. This story arc is no longer required - once you hit level 50, you'll start earning Incarnate Shards and Threads automatically. I run the arc so we can see the story behind the system and try to get a good idea of what we're doing and why we're doing it.
This episode is really long; I didn't realize that the story arc would be so detailed (and require so much reading!). NOTE: I cover the Incarnate slot information within the first 20 minutes. Then, we do the story arc. In the arc, we do the following:
1. Learn about the system from Mender Ramiel
2. Get information from Positron
3. Encounter Trapdoor and receive our Artifact
4. Talk to Lady Grey about Incarnates
5. Have an epic battle with the Rikti (and 2 Elite Bosses at the same time!!!)
6. Look for the Well of Furies
7. Unlock the Alpha slot
That's a lot! I'm still just learning this system myself, so bear with me as we go through the adventure. By the end of the next few episodes, we should all have a handle on how this all works.
