- The Crusader. An English cruiser tank. The British engineers' view of Christie’s suspension and his concept for a fast, mobile vehicle. As a true crusader, this tank fought in the deserts of North Africa, far beyond the borders of its homeland. Its main enemy was the German PzKpfw III commanded by Rommel, the Desert Fox.
In this episode: the history of the Crusader's creation, also known as the A15 or Cruiser Mk.VI. What were the peculiarities of its armor and armament. Why did it receive the six-pound gun only after the events of Dunkirk? What was wrong with the Liberty engine?

For all the Crusader's many flaws, Nuffield still kept his promise to build Britain a better tank than the Covenanter. Because despite the breakdowns and the too thin armour and the bad ergonomics, the Crusader at least didn't melt its engines the way the Covenanter did.

the 2pdr dilemma is just tragic beyond words-after dunkirk they should have done a realistic assessment and changed over to the 6pdr

Why..... is that slopped armor? Gee I thought the T-34 was the very first and only tank to have slopped armor.
The Russians are looking from the British Tanks and take some coponents.The Russians built easyer and than was born the BT 7 and T34 Tank.The Russians T26 Tank ist from the British Vickers Tank.Excause me for my English.
And the French were also using sloped armour in the 1930s.
Why are there so many white spots on the tank? Are those rivets?
The word"ergonomic" was really unknown to these tanks l' designers!
