- The is a a mini music documentary about Ciara's rapid rise in music. Ciara hopped on the scene in 2004 and released her first album "Goodies" which produced a slew of hits like "Goodies", "1,2 Step", and "Oh." Ciara caught attention with her energetic performances and her androgynous dance style. With years of performing, Ciara perfected her craft and evolved musically. However there was a major hump in her music career and it was do with a drastic switch in her team. Since then, Ciara hasn't been able to reach her initial chart topping success, but she did redeem herself and regain her fan base with her latest music.

I honestly don't think she's giving her enough credit though, Cici like Rihanna and Beyoncé has a die hard fan base, writes a lot of her music, hardly ever features anyone in her music and manages to have successful singles on each album with her own music and no features being and R&B and pop artist so that's pretty impressive considering her competition typically always has popular features, and writers for a lot of their music. I'm a fan obviously lol, people definitely know her but I can admit that she could definitely be up there at a better level, but I feel like she also shouldn't be discredited all things considered 😊

Fantasy Ride was supposed to be a different kind of album. Ciara wanted it to be a three-disc CD that merges her crunk sound, her laid-back R&B sound i.e. Promise and a more pop/dance sound i.e. Love Sex and Magic but her label at the time was being cockblockers and forced to her to go in another direction. Fantasy Ride was a good album but it could've been better. That album could've been the album that solidify her career but her label dropped the ball with it. Ciara wanted to do a world tour for it and everything.
Team Ciara forever, she's always carried herself nicely. She's beautiful & talented. She's one of the best dancers period. Right along with Chris Brown. Maybe it was her management & who she was signed to that didn't set her ablaze, like the other 2 mentioned. It's imperative to have a machine behind you. Rihanna ain't that great of a singer btw. Yeah having that one person behind you is everything. But I'm happy for her, maybe she didn't want to be that big of a super star. Who knows, but I'm happy for her. She's not gonna be one of those stars strung out on drugs. She has a beautiful family & she'll always be remembered for her classiness & grace & (that body) ;)

I still have my Goodies CD 🙌🏾. I remember when she first popped up on the scene, I was 11/12, Goodies (song) was a HIT. Her dancing blew people away. Then she just kept dropping hit after hit and she was the IT girl in crunk and R&B. She had amazing features (missy elliot and ludacris!) and amazing people backing her. She did amazing collabs (who remembers the songs So What and outta control?). Her androgynous dancing was so good I remember in 2004-2005 there were rumours on the internet that she was a hermaphrodite lmao (who remembers??😂). Then she started dating bow wow and they were like the IT black urban couple lol. She was definitely someone that I'm sure everybody thought would become a global superstar; she is the ultimate full package, a record labels dream. I really hope things change because she is extremely talented.

Ciara was on fire back in the day. She's one of those underrated artists. She needs to go back to Jazzy Fay and put out her own "lemonade" album.
I think the problem with Ciara’s team and label is that they don’t see the creative vision that she is trying to show. If you pay close attention to her videos from the start of her career until now, you can see her vision is trying to mixture the Jackson (both Michael and Janet ) with a twist of Ciara. In 2010, when Basic Instinct came out, her label was more focus on Britney Spear (which is a joke to me) and not seeing the actual vision. Ciara needs a great musical team behind her like Janet had when she release Control. Ciara story is more parallel to Janet’s when she release control. The pop lane can work for her, but she need a Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis to give her the type of records that is going to allow her to showcase her dancing abilities. If you look at Ciara’s video her dancing in the video is nothing like when you actually see her live. But I have a strong feeling with this new album coming, she is going to get back there. She is taking her time and has been real silent on who she is working with and what direction she is going. Hell even Missy state that the music she is doing now is fire!

Ciara's debut album, Goodies, came out in 2004, which was a few months after i graduated from college in December 2003. Her music was everywhere throughout 2004 as well as her music videos on TV that involve a lot of high energy, complex choreography. I have the Goodies album and the Evolution album on CD. Jazze Pha and Ciara's collaboration was great because his production and her crunk & b vibe worked very well, especially when Ciara came out with her first single "Goodies", the title track, produced by Lil' Jon, which was also a certified club banger. I know that Ciara worked with other producers such as Rodney Jerkins aka Darkchild, Brian Michael-Cox, etc after her collaboration with Jazze Pha because she was trying to grow and evolve with her music as well as her brand. I completely agree. Ciara was imo supposed to be a young Janet Jackson. I think her and Jazzy pha had a huge falling out,because she refuses to get back with him to collaborate on some hits. Body Party was supposed to be her comeback but she kinda just gave up,and even most of her fans turned on her when she was trying to become a Kardashian a few years ago. She didn't let future produce the rest of her album and that was a HUGE mistake! I will always be a fan,but she is a glorified WAG now.

To be honest, I always considered Ciara in the league of Beyonce and Rihanna. Together, they could have been the holy trinity of music, and with Nicki Minaj, a quartet of queens. I had a feeling there were management issues that played a part in her not realising her full potential because I was surprised since she and RiRi started at about the same time, but despite her talent she started falling off the scene. I know everyone's gonna start saying "she's not even close" or "she can't touch her", but to me, CiCi was the new Janet Jackson, especially as far as being a performer goes. Anyways, I wish her all the very best.
ciara can’t touch Beyoncé’s vocals, but she’s better than rihanna vocally and dance wise so she definitely should have succeeded. I think beyoncé is different because she isn’t a pop artists more of an albums one, but her and rihanna were competing and i think Rihanna’s management was better than hers but Ciara objectively has much more talent.

Ciara can't sing nowhere near Beyonce but she can outdance her. Vocally Rihanna is a bit better (when she actually sings) but Rihanna has a good ear choosing songs that become popular AF and she works with the right producers every time. So Ciara is not an exceptional singer, parted ways with producers who understood her, isn't exactly a writer nor a producer, however Ciara has beauty and brilliant dance skills and her songs are good enough for the charts but honestly she's already gotten way more success than she could have. I totally agree with you ! She's in my opinion the most talented female dancer EVER. Beyoncé can't do what CiCi can do, she's not as flexible. I think it just comes down to vision. Ciara is not a prolific visionary. She should've stayed with Jazze Pha. There would be no Janet without Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. No Beyonce without Jay. She's stunning, but her fashion style has been questionable frequently throughout her career. Her music hasn't been consistent. She'd drop a dope song, and then a bunch a trash songs afterwards, then another decent song later on 😏 She lacks the passion and drive that her peers have. She has all the potential in the world but you can't be an icon if you're not a workaholic!
