Yes, it's possible for a virus or malware to not show up. This can happen if the virus is NEW and hasn't been identified and added to the database YET. It's very rare but possible.
"System cannot find specified file" - it usually means that the process is trying to access a file that is no longer present on the system. This could happen if for ex the file is deleted or moved. Could also be caused by malware attempting to access a file that has been removed by antivirus software.
Bottom line its a great tool but we need always antivirus that runs nonstop.
