      @@chipcarter5971 Dickerson was not a better athlete than Bo, Bo was unrefined, not even tapping into his full potential as he just showed up with out training or conditioning and did this.

      Just once, I would love to hear Bo and Marcus talk about each other or even be seen together for a reunion. Neither one of them talked about the other in their documentaries. It seems like they prefer not to acknowledge the other...

    Al Davis ruined the raiders with his grudge against possibly the best raider ever.yes bo was explosive but Marcus was the heartbeat, remember Bo Jackson stated on many occasions that the raiders and football was his hobby, he didn't show up until baseball season was over. Marcus was the heartbeat of that team, even when he was being benched for no reason he was voted by the players raider of the year like 5 times (not sure if its 4 or 5 times or 5 or 6 times).bo Jackson would've never accepted being a fullback or splitting time with over the hill backs like Eric Dickerson and Roger craig.

    • @xorcogaming7459
      @xorcogaming7459 Před rokem

      Either way it's a great runningback duo and you have to understand why Davis did that. Yes Allan was great but Bo was an athletic superhuman. Imagine if Bo learned the position better and reached his prime. He could've been the best ever but we'll never know because of his injury.

  • @savemejesusiamasinner6463

    Marcus Allen (and So Davis' sorry butt) is why I'm a chiefs fan. Imagine being in the hof when your owner sabotaged 5-6 years of your prime. That's how great Allen was. If al Davis doesn't intentionally ruin his career, we're talking about marcus as the greatest rb ever. Facts

  • @darthraider7935
    @darthraider7935 Před 6 lety +2

    always found it funny how the knock on Marcus Allen was that he wasn't "fast", as he runs away from the defense...lol. Easily one of the best running backs ever. Dual threat running and receiving and lets throw in passing from time to time just for fun. Then of course Bo was just a freak of nature, someone that big shouldn't have been that fast. He ran through or past so many people is such a short time. Easily the biggest "what-if" in football if not sports history. You could sorta say the same to a degree about Marcus Allen, so many years wasted at fullback for the likes of Bo, past their primes roger craig and eric dickerson. True it extended his career but those 5 seasons were pretty much wasted as I believe he never topped 150 carries in any of those years. If he was the main back and went somewhere between 200-275 carries a season while he might not have lasted as long as he did he would have had 5 years of his prime years actually doing what he was supposed to do....

    Allen won the Heisman with SoCAL in 82
    Who would have thought two Heisman winners in the same backfield on the Los Angeles Raiders?!
    Just crazy
    Cowboys had Herschel Walker and Tony Dorset in the same backfield
    Dorset won the Heisman at The University of Pittsburgh in 77
    Walker won the Heisman with Georgia in 83
    LA Raiders Backfield VS Cowboys backfield in the 80s

      @@1D4ever Bo was a flash in a pan kinda back.. big plays and nothing more.... Marcus was consistent and could run, throw, block, and catch out of the backfield... hmmm lets see what Bo did... Big runs which were exciting but nothing else and it was a hobby so he always got to LA near Week 8 after the Royals were eliminated from playoff contention. Marcus put the game away in SB 18 and was the 1985 NFL MVP... so what I just explained crushes your affinity for Bo. Bo was great but not greater than Marcus.

    Bo was the better *Athlete*, Marcus was the better *Football Player*. As a pure football player, Bo couldn't hold Marcus's jock!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes I said that. Run, pass, block, throw.........no running back did it better than Marcus, maybe as good but not better. Marcus was the total package. sidebar, he was tough as nails. When Bo had that historic run in Seattle on Monday night, Marcus was the lead blocker that sprung him. Think about it, a starting running back that got moved to fullback for a part time player.............lmao
