What about institutional child abuse in Arizona? Wilderness programs, reform ranches, boot camps and therapeutic boarding schools? The cases of abuse are sickening.
It happened to my son. Police never did anything. Someone broke into my house robbed me and threatened my son. Hes now afraid to be alone. :( I wish they had this in my area, I wish our area had more caring officers that would do something especially about abuse and break-ins. Especially when the robber threatens to kidnap my son.

well, just so you know, im a baca child and it's been two months since either of my primaries contacted me...i haven't seen my baca family since the beginning of this year. when in reality? i was told i would be contacted AT LEAST once a week and that i would have AT LEAST a follow up a month. ive gotten three follow ups since i was taken in to the family in july 2015...
It takes 2 to tango Samantha. You have not replied to Jeff Thames who replied to you with a request a month ago. I believe that BACA is a great organization, and that there is more to this story than you have told
jeff - thank you for your concern. i made the decision to step away from baca. and no longer be on the list. i handed in my patches to my new primaries just a few weeks ago. now that my patches are in and im removed, i no longer need to worry about a follow up nor wanting to see the people i truly care for because i can see them whenever i want to. i did contact thor, the international child before i handed in my patches and it didn't do anything for me but get me called "jealous" and "hostile" but him. guy - i understand that. i think that baca as a whole/idea is great. but with some of the drama in the chapters where i live, it did not work out for me, unfortunately. you are correct. that was not the whole story. the whole story is that they actually kicked out my original primary for something she never did. as a result, my other original primary left. after they were both gone, it took weeks for them to assign me to new primaries. once they were assigned, i still didn't get to meet them until months later. as i told jeff above, i decided that it would be best for me to step away from baca and turn in my patches. in the state that i am in general there is lots of drama. one of my best friends is a baca child. she had said something about one of our members making her uncomfortable. instead of kicking out that member, what she said got blamed on a different member and that member got kicked out. we were both very very upset over that member getting kicked out as we both are very very close to him. we were so upset by that, that we ended up crying on the phone to each other over it. i had been thinking of stepping away before that happened just because i felt as i was being left in the dust but that situation i just told you about was the straw on the camels back...it's sad that in the entire state that i live in, i really only had about four members that really felt like family to me. other than those four members, the people they kicked out for no good reason felt like more of a family to me.
I wish I'd had them when I was a kid. I was to afraid to go to the police because the ones that raped me had a gun that they put to my head and in my mouth. They told me they would kill my family before they killed me. I'm 40 and I'm still afraid.
