i don’t think so. i think this ending was perfect. not all stories have happy endings. and anyways, owen got what he always wanted - his daughter and his wife safe and healthy.

This was the dumbest ending to a show and made me mad I ever started it. They just wrapped it all up in a anticlimactic, illogical happy ending. Honestly Jennifer Garner’s performance was cringey af and almost felt satirical. I wasn’t sure if that was actually the ending or if I missed something major that would have given this show more depth but nope.
The book was just as bad.
Yes you soon realize there is no real threat to them it's just prickly nonthreatening in-laws. They survive their dumb decisions because no one in the series is actually after them, no one even wants their money which seems to be an afterthought to Hannah.

I like the ending. I just don’t like the last thing he said to her at her exhibit and I don’t like that the phone conversation with Bailey. We should’ve seen / heard that conversation. I wonder if season 2 will be more from his perspective.

I don’t understand what Owen said when “The-could-of-been boys still love you”
im only thinking referring to the fact he will never be coming back they cannot love on together so essentially he is apart of her past now. They had a previous discussion of her past boyfriends that she left that “could have been” so maybe something related to that since theyre what could have been but can no longer be 🤷🏻♀️
