  • Another common question is "do I need to get up to burp the baby after nursing laying down?" I share my experience after co-sleeping with all 6 of my babies, as well as my experience serving other mamas as their doula.

Thank you for doing this series! My question is on diapering overnight. Do you leave them in the same diaper all night? Is that too much wetness for too long? Is there an easy way to diaper change without getting up?

Do you have any tips for tandem feeding a newborn and toddler? I think I have an overactive letdown due to my toddler tandem feeding. Is there a way to regulate the supply and demand of milk between a toddler and newborn while tandem feeding? My toddler still nurses throughout the night too and I usually keep them both on their own side at night, just because it's easier for me now to not move them. Do you think it would help to alternate which side they're drinking from through the night?

Hi there, I'm a first time mom and my baby girl is 3 months old now! :) She sleeps next to me in my king bed (my husband has his own bedroom :) - it's worked pretty well so far as we have enough space for her to be free from blankets, but I can still have them over me. HOWEVER, as she begins to roll (and eventually crawl), I'm at a loss of what to do. I know I can buy bed rails (as you suggest) and sleep in a thermal top (as you suggest), but I just can't imagine not sleeping with blankets over me. Is there any option to have BOTH blankets AND my baby sleeping next to me safely?? Also, the bed rails aren't that high... won't she eventually be able to climb over them? So many questions..... my first time and really want to make co-sleeping/nursing work (safely) going forward when she can roll and crawl. Would love to hear any thoughts to you have. Many thanks, Amanda

What would a food sensitivity manifest as? My daughter is such a noisy sleeper! Sounds like she’s snorting and choking and having trouble breathing. It only happens at night after nursing.
