That catch by the center fielder @ 1:09 was a nice catch because he managed to readjust from overrunning it, but it doesn't belong on this list. Ditto for the one @ 9:01. I never thought I'd see Vogie on a defensive highlight reel. Congrats, Daniel, well done! At 11:14, the catcher turned a great throw that was just a touch too late into an out by the strategic placement of his left foot as he turned to tag the runner that prevented the runner's left hand from touching the plate after he missed it with both feet. How is that a triple play @ 13:36? If the line drive was caught by the SS, the force is off at 2nd, the 2nd baseman steps on 2nd getting the out on the runner who started toward 3rd (the throw to the 3rd baseman and that tag were superfluous), but until the runner who was on first gets tagged, he's not out. If, on the other hand, the SS trapped the ball, the 2nd baseman steps on 2nd getting the runner from first, and they rundown the runner from 2nd, and they have done the smart thing by getting the 2 lead runners out leaving a man on first with only 1 out left in the inning. That is what it looks like the players thought was going on. Either way, it's not a triple play.
No love for the Mariners. Typical. Fraley robbing a potential walk off homer in the bottom of the 9th then throwing the runner out at 1st was huge. They went on to win in extras.
Yep. Fraley's play was better than any play on that whole clip. A lot of those plays were just routine plays where someone was trying to stretch a single into a double.
0:26 What? You can hear the ball hit his glove at 27 seconds after he already dove several feet away from the base just to catch it. The first baseman's foot is nowhere near the bag.
Yas, in case you missed it, retired just a bit too early to make a highlight reel from June of 2021, and this is about plays in the field, not historic hits.
@@jacquelinehoffer2861 Line drive was ruled no catch without video review so tagging 2nd base was 1st out & tagging runner was 2nd out . If you watch it closer you can see the ump wave arms safe then out very quickly and that's what caught Michael Kay . I watched it live so I heard the oops explained , but also saw it at speed being called .
@@jacquelinehoffer2861 Not a force at 2nd with the batter already out. The fielders and the runner from 2nd played it as if the ball was not caught on the fly. Defense has definitely upped it's game. Every team these days has some fantastic players.
In one of the videos he hit the ball and them the bat went flying LOLLL 😂😂😂😂
Never realized how good the Reds are.
Sweet!
Love these videos

They know damn well the second one was not out. The man fell off the base before ball in got into the glove. Lmao
It doesn’t matter, it was close, and it was a great play. (His foot was touching the bag)
Jonathan Schoop is sooooo Underated
Wow
in the first 4 minutes it shows how good the red sox and reds are at fielding

What about Derek Hill against the wall for the Tigers.
i did that to day at couch pitch baseball we won

Line drive(1st out), force out at second because runners on 1st and 2nd(2nd out) and tagged the runner(3rd out) so a triple play
