Even though it is tedious, I prefer sidequests of this nature to the complete travesty that is Chocobo racing for Tidus. When it's just 10% skill and 90% bullshit RNG that gets your hopes up and never quite lets you win until you get the most random luck, that is not fun or compelling.

@@fatranga Oh but it can be. I've had runs where It took 10 hrs just for that stupid ass minigame. but also runs where it took 30 minutes or less.
It's all RNG. Fairly often there will not even be enough balloons spawned to achieve 0.0 even with 0 bird hits. Plus getting the chocobo to not turn into every other bird is also RNG, not skill.
Great video, but just a heads up to anyone else who is using this as a guide, if you don't win all the games, you also get a different bonus item at the end. ALSO in the mini game with the sand trap, you can actually go INSIDE the sand trap and walk all the way up to him at once
So if I mess up the ninth one I have to restart at one?!
@@veganwaffle there are bonus prizes for getting all of them but it's nothing special. Even if you catch none of them you'll still get the sigil.

The tip for the cactuar on the tent is....don't use ur analog stick.
Use ur dpad button and *run* to the cactuar. ⬇⬇⬇
*But the most important thing you should be careful, the sound and the cactuar. (And the purple instruction box on screen)
I am gonna explain...
Try not to run following the cute sound of the cactuar to stop/run until u capture him.(goes the same for the purple instruction box)
KEEP LOOKIN' AT THE CACTUAR.
Stop when he's looking at you...but Everytime he turns his back u run.
*After spending some "timeee" 😅 only in this way I've capture him.
Hope this tip can help you. It worked for me.

You can "mute" the sound of your TV and just keep looking at the cactuar.
Run when he turns his back and stop when he's looking at you.
That's the way it worked to me. 🙂

By FAR!!!!! The best guide to this. Number 7 I had to totally leave the area and go back to the sink hole and it appeared. I did try going back to the stone, back to the sink hole, didn't appear. I didn't catch 3 or 4 along the way, still got the goods :)
I feel so dumb, I thought you had to turn around every time he said needletime. I still did it but it would've been so much easier this way.

NB!!! Isrra it’s really really easier... just go into the sand hole (right for tidus) and follow the way... you will appear in the hole near the cactus back to him, u can run even if he turn back to you because he can’t see u 👍👍
7:44 for that one go into the sink hole it will let you continue to walk during needle time and appear in the sink hole beside him

Going to explain my experience. Did 8 of these in a row without saving. Ran out onto the airship deck to grab the ninth cactaur and it triggered the final sin fight that I hadn’t done yet. Managed to beat him, barely! If I had to do over the entire godhand quest I was gonna be so fucking pissed.
The really fast music is strangely satisfying..
To soft reset the game hold L1 L2 R1 R2 and hold X, Pad, then hit the opinions button. This will save you a few menus instead of closing the game and reloading a save. 😃

If you use the d pad, and just press it once to twice ever time the difficult cactaur turns around, you will get him.
The one you skip and say to fail has a relatively simple pattern you can try using next time. The rate in which he turns around is hastened in the middle and slower in the beginning and end, so you move up a lot at the start, only do stutter steps in the middle, and than you get to make a big move again towards the end.

If you're at the point in the story where going onto the ship's deck will start the battle with Sin you cannot finish this.
Why would you go fight sin without getting their celestial weapons? Kinda need to have some of them to get through Omega
@@joshuajones2532 Dude This game came out before the internet was had all the cheats and tutorials. Some of us didn't have game guides back then or read the little booklet it came with in the game case. I beat the game without celestial weapons as a kid but it was a grind since I had to really strategize and be careful. Now today, unless someone truly doesn't know or is just a casual gamer, its recommended to get at least a few of them. Lulu and Yunas weapons are hard to get as well as very time consuming. Not everyone has the time nor endurance to dodge 209 lighting bolts and do all that other crap.

@@60wwediva Yuma’s weapon is easy to get and so is lulu’s after you get a no encounters weapon. Tidus’ weapon is probably the hardest to get. Also also there were game cheat sites back in 1998 with aol. But ok I’m not old enough to remember
Yea you can. I just did it. After you fight Sin twice the ship lands and there’s a save point in the ground before you step onto the blue symbol. Just use it to get back in the ship then go to the roof. Elio will be there.

@@Gaming_Inquisitor Honestly I hated Blitz with a passion until I learned how to win the games. It's mostly all in getting the best high stat players and a goalie with Super goalie ability you can toggle by pressing Triangle when the opposing team tries to score especially if their shoot is like 11-15. I accidentally lost a goalie I recruited from Luca cause I didn't have the gil at the time to sign them and then got tired when I did and accidentally clicked don't sign him. The trick is to make sure Tidus is the mid fielder or at least pass the ball to him when you get a chance. If you get first go with the ball with Tidus hurry & swim to the edge of the Sphere pool. Don't go straight for the opponents goal. Swim to the edge so that way you can get swim around the sphere and at least only have to break 1 person if not 2 sometimes. Then use the Jecht shot or Sphere shot if in good range.
@@Gaming_Inquisitor main way to win tho is to at least get one goal and swim to your goal all the way (keep breaking other opponents and choose dribble*) and hide behind the goalie or beside the goalie. You can chill there not doing anything for until the 4 minute mark or the energy of the game so the other team doesn't get to do anything. Also beware that with teams like Goers and other strong teams there might be annoying players who will follow you right to your goal and get up under you & the goalie for a face off. It defies logic and the AI system but they do it anyway when they technically shouldn't be able to

The cactaur that hides in the hole, if you go into the first sand trap hole, you will have a direct shot under the sand to the second hole right beside the cactaur eliminating the chance of being caught, I just found this out today
Muting your TV when trying to tag the 10th cactuar made this much easier for me, I think I also just got lucky with good rng
7:25 this cactar isn't there for me. I followed the guide though, any ideas??
Edit: I tuned in the sphere but he wouldn't appear untill I decided a Longshot and re-talked to the cactar stone then it appeared in the dune... Weird but okie dokie.

@@MR_Nickanator as I included in my edit part. Try to retalk to the cactar stone and he should appear. I'm not sure what causes this but that's what I did and then he appeared in the dune so it's worth a shot.

You can get that tough one if after the 1st long pause you go a little to the left and then just remember that he does another long pause after that you should be close enough to grab him.

I played the sand pit one so horribly I found a trick...I went left by accident when he turned around and went into the sand pit far away. When I came back up I came up the sand pit right next to the cactaur. Sometimes playing until I have finger fatigue brings out some useful "accidents"
For some reason It stares me down so long that the tome goes out.

@@ViniciusLCH It'll take several tries, trust me. Run only forwards and try to stick near the sandpit like done in the video. After the second red light I say just run for it.
@@CharlesXavier OR just dive into the sand hole pit and you'll access a secret tunnel that connects to the pit next to the cactuar.

Ye I’m having the same issue as you about the cactuar in the hole, I think in some of the different versions that the names of the crests and Sigils are switched

I always make kimarhi go rikkis sphere route so I have to stealers and I can have three fast characters and have some beef in case I'm ambushed. Rikku is def viable.
