Is there a reason you don't use the wand tool for those selections in the beginning? Do you just not like the jaggies it occasionally produces?

I'm not them, but it's an image. The wand wouldnt be able to select buildings out of an image, it would just select the image

@@AdwzDsxfh-hb8ys The magic wand tool picks out shapes using their colors and tones. So if the building is a different color than the background it would have no problem doing that in an image.
