I legit gasped when you said you would throw it out! It needs to be up in some sort of museum or something. Idk you, sum 41, blink, NFG really put Pop Punk on the map my guy.
+1!
@@manouky + another 1
Thanks man! I will figure out how to do get into the right person's hands!
I know Fat Mike has a Punk Rock Museum he runs out of Vegas. You could get it out to him. The dude even lets people play the instruments, so it's not like it'll be retiring.
Way better than a trash can (although those make sick drums as well)@@stevo32drums
A punk museum of sorts, with memorabilia from past punk musicians.. they could call it "The Museum Of Punk Rock Music" and maybe it could be in Reno..or Atlantic City!
LOL I can’t believe you found a way to tie Sum into “Hawk Tuah”. You were born to make Internet videos, mi amigo. 😂
Someone had suggested the connection to me on Insta so I figured I would take it all the way!
This channel is the best thing that happens to youtube in 2024. 🙌
Thanks!
@@stevo32drums no joke, we are stoked you're here
Don't throw away this drum head! It's a piece of history.
It was last used on April 9th 2013, in Kingston Ontario. You guys were touring with Billy Talent.
I was there on stage for that show.
Never crossed my mind it would be the last time I would see you play with the sums ;)
That was indeed the last show!
That’s embarrassing. Sum 41 suuucks
Oh wow Billy Talent (or Pez on whatever first CD I have from them). Haven't really thought about them since I saw them play with My Chemical Romance.
I think this guy deserves the drum head!
A lot of us are big fans...this guy deserves the head....hawk tuah
My favorite Sum 41 song and my favorite Sum 41 album. 👍
My fav album as well !
@@stevo32drums agree with you guys. One of my personal all time fav albums
Around 2002 I was a full blown junkie dodging HIV and overdoses ,this song absolutely was in my CD player on repeat giving me strength to try to not get AIDS or die from an overdose ,after several close calls I dodged both of them ,ending up in a psych ward at the end of 2003 after committing a felony . You have no idea how important this song was to me at that time in my life, and frankly it’s the gift that keeps giving ,I’m sober now and a yoga teacher to teens in psych wards and adults in jail and I can’t wait to play Sum 41 in my classes!
Dude! I loved Sum 41 20 years ago and then moved on to other stuff and forgot all about them. Your YT channel was randomly recommended recently and it's been a BLAST! I ended up checking if Sum 41 still tour and what are the odds, farewell tour went on sale yesterday. Grabbed a couple tickets. Sorry to see you aren't involved anymore but glad you're happy and rocking it! Cheers
Thanks for checking it out! Hope you had a nice time at the show!
You’ve got to think that Deryck has watched this and is thinking…”we’ve got to bring Stevo back for one more show.” Toronto? Maybe a practice show at Pioneertown?
sum 41 is a band that had such a massive inspiration on me and my cousin, i remember re-recording the hell song video with him with our own action figures and showing our parents our masterpiece haha
That's awesome!
STEVO can you show Thanks For Nothing some love? That song has some great fills and double kick and is one of the rare songs with you doing vocals. I'm very happy you're gracing us with your precence on CZcams, I've loved your drumming since I was a kid and have missed having you around!
I will do a video on that one for sure!
one of my favorites on the album so yes please make a video on that
Can't wait to see that!!
Steve, you’re an absolute hero and legend to me. You were my favorite member of Sum by far and it never felt the same without you. So happy to see you enjoying playing. All the best to your family!
Another banger video. Stevo you should react to some clips from the old Sum 41 Introduction to Destruction DVD from 2002. When you guys are messing around in your hometown, water gun drive-bys, dancing in the parking lot, etc. Those clips already have the band providing commentary so it would be sorta meta or hat on a hat, but why not.
I will definitely do that ... i might be interesting to get 42 year old's take on me being an 16 year old idiot
I am so disconnected from society that I didn't even know about that meme! Thank you so much for informing me, Steve!
At it's core, this channel is educational!
@@stevo32drumsThe main part of education the educational system misses.
Man i had an physical emotional reaction to this video. Stevo, you shaped so so much man
One of my favourite songs and videos by Sum 41 “hells yeah, everybody’s gonna be there” is a phrase I have never stopped saying since this videos release! And give away the drum head!! You were a huge influence in my drumming when I was a kid.
Thanks - i forgot to mention that that is Marc Klasfeld's voice delivering that line in the opening
"Does This Look Infected?" Is my favorite Sum 41 album! Thanks for playing this song!
You should definitely give away that drum head!
As a drummer that went through my late teens when this album came out I can't explain how much I love these videos. I had this CD on permanent repeat in my first car. This is the best sort of nostalgia.
That's cool - thanks man!
Hi from France !
This is the first song I've heard of SUM41 I was 11 back then and still my favourite song.
Does this look infected is my favorite album and definitely in my top ten.
2 days ago i've been to my first SUM 41 show that bring me back to my teenage years.
I Know you're not in the band anymore but thank you for all your work on SUM 41.
Continue your videos they're great !
This album is one of those gems that got me through a lot of stuff growing up. All Killer is amazing, but THIS one helped me figure out all the different awkward feelings as a teenager in the early 2000's. Still listening to the band to this day as well. Thank you for being part of a band and an album that means so much to me Stevo!!!
I always wondered about the spitting before Hell Song! I'm so happy you're back sharing your humor and stories!
that's how you make in the record business haha thanks for watching
imma need that drum head Steve. Y’all are the reason I play music
I'll figure out a way to make it a fair gamble!
The world is better with you drumming in it. Love to see you jamming and having fun! ❤
I don't even know how this video got recommended to me. But "Does This Look Infected?" is still one of my all-time favourite albums, and I still have a t-shirt from when you guys did the UK tour for the album--was there in Nottingham, UK. It was, also, one of the first concerts I ever went to, I was also going through a pretty dark time. It also right at the point where I decided to turn to music as an outlet. I'm just not exaggerating when I'll say this song means a lot to me, and music--your guy's music saved my life.
Big love, and good vibes.
I was at your last show with Sum41 in Kingston! I crowd surfed for the first time ever to this song
I read it before in the comments and have to say the same thing: You and Sum 41 are the reason I started playing drums and guitar. If I win this drumhead, it's going to hang on my shrine wall in my home studio next to pirate swords and Thors hammer!
Thank you so, so much for coming back to the public Stevo. I wondered a lot what you're doin and how you are. THANK YOU! HAWK TUAH!
Hell song is the perfect song to start the show! Probably my favorite song of you guys! In the next video can you talk about the song that you did for the movie Spider-Man, ''It's What We're All About''?
I will definitely get to that one
That and Noots are two of my favorite songs they did that ended up in a movie/for a movie!
Sounds so cliche to say but those early Sum 41 albums were so important to me - I spun All Killer, Infected, Half Hour Of Power And Chuck over and over and over and over.....thankyou so much for the great music and for helping me through my troubled teens. Love the channel!
I NEED that snare head! Sum 41 was one of my main influences when I played in bands back in high school.
This will always be my favorite Sum 41 song. As a kid raised on classic rock, I was always looking for new music with guitar solos, and this song had everything I wanted! Thanks for the memories Stevo!
I remember when I first heard green day on a classic rock station .. it was probably the same week my hips started aching haha
@@stevo32drumsI think I heard "In Too Deep" on a classic rock station the other day...
Thank you for this channel, you’re the whole reason I got into playing drums when I was 10. And a big thank your giving being a part of giving the world chuck. Which is my favourite album of all time. Would love to see you play “ I’m not the one”
One love brother! ❤
This was the first Sum 41 song I've learned on the electric guitar, also one of the first songs in general, and I actually managed to convince my friends to play it for one school talent show.
Good times!
P.S. you should definitely throw the drum head away, but in a trash can near my house
Hahaha
I remember it being the beginning of 2003, I was freshly 13 years old. I walked into my first music lesson and told the guy I’m just here to learn how to rock and asked him to teach me how to play the hell song.
I’m 34 and still play drums in a band 🤘
Damn I’m impressed on how clean you played this song. You can tell the difference in your drumming, compared to your previous videos. The way you played it, you can just tell it can only come from years of touring and playing this song
I’m just gonna say it “ over here with the drum head. I’m interested on that drum head”
This was THE song that got me to pick up a guitar and explore heavier music avenues. Forever grateful for all Sum 41 but this era/song specifically.
Nice! I am glad to hear that!
Fat Lip riff made me pick up a guitar! But Sum 41 kept getting heavier and was such an inspiration! The Chuck album made me a fan for life! ❤
Great song from a great album. Hands down this channel best thing coming out of 2024, keep up the great content dude!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Thanks ! Will do!
This is one of my favourite songs of all time. I am also a drummer, and I always love playing this song! I was 14 when this album came out, and this was the first music CD I ever bought.
One of my favourite Sum 41 songs ever!
Me too!
fans would definitely want drum head for sure.
My wife is smart
Dude, i love this song video so much 😂 one of the classics in the music world
Thank you!
Loved this song and video in high school! It made me get my Tech Deck and glue a toy dude onto it and attach fishing line to it and run around the house trying to make it look like in the video!
I wore out 2 copies of this CD back in the day! Soundtrack to the end of high school and beginning of college for me. Love everything about these videos - the history, the memories, but most of all, seeing your work on drums get the proper attention. HOLY COW those fills!! Especially during the guitar solo and onward. Blown away! Phenomenal mixing on this videos btw!
For some reason when I first heard it, Hell Song intro came to my mind immediately!
Same!
someone sent it to me on insta and i was like ... oh i gotta do that!
So great seeing you back playing drums and making videos! Your videos are excellent, and the sound/video production quality is incredible. PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING!!!!
Cool thanks for saying so!
First off, so sick watching Steve play drums after all this time, channel is sick. Second, I'd stand in line for a week to get a raffle ticket for that snare head. HAWK TUAH
My favorite song off of my favorite album from my favorite band! I’m so glad that the CZcams algorithm has introduced e to your channel. ❤ HAWK TUAH!
I fucking love this song. The first guitar solo I ever learnt. Spent my youth HAWK TUING and playing that riff!
Living the dream! Thanks man
@@stevo32drums Just making the sound of course, not the action haha. You are the best man!
I love you Stevo you are an inspiration to all drummers. Would you ever do a video walking us through your kits? Showing us what drum heads, cymbals etc you use. Would really help us drummers understand your tones 👍. All the best from Scotland 🏴
Dude thank you. Every video is so uplifting and impossible not to feel your free spirited fun. Its cliche but thank you, feels good to laugh and just forget about crap
How cool is it to see these videos and listen to Stevo's comments! Sum 41 lost a lot after you left, bro! I was waiting for your return and I waited! It would be great to hear your comments about the clips where you were the director - Underclass Hero, With Me
Jeebus, i had to watch you play the bit over the solo a few times. Drums complementing the accents on the solo. Besides being WAY cooler than everyone, you are also INSANELY good at playing drums.
This should be obvious, but your cross to bear is that your incredible musical talent is overshadowed my your even more incredible personality.
hey man - that's cool of you to say! Thanks !
@@stevo32drums omg omgomg!!!!!
Don’t throw it away! It’s a part of history 😃
Please make some kind of contest so I can have the opportunity to catch it over here in Sweden!
I really like your channel! “Does this look infected?” is on my top 3 of best Sum 41 albums. 👍👍
This is one of my all time favourites, can't believe it has such a serious story behind it, glad to hear your friend is doing well though.
I love the commentary and backstory. We need more of this
If no one wants that drum head I would love it. I've been listening to you guys since I was 10 years old. I discovered you courtesy of Now That's What I Call Music! 8 in 2001 if you can believe that lol. I've been playing drums since I was 19 and you guys have always been a huge inspiration.
I lifted that crash crash snare crash crash fill for so many of my bands. It worked in metalcore, hardcore, punk, and even shoegaze stoner pop. Awesome vid
Dude. Thanks for the channel. Awesome watching you talk about the old days. 👊
This song was the first sum41 i ever try to played on drums 2002 i was 18 yrs old 😆😆 brings back good memories steve...
This Channel is legit the best thing, sum 41 was one of the many bands that was the staple of my pre double digit years 🤘🏻love hearing the meaning behind some of my all time favorite songs
thanks for watching!
Whenever I hear "hawk tuah," the first thing that comes to mind is The Iron Sheik. That was the sound he made when he insinuated spitting on something he didn't like during his promos.
so glad you started this CZcams channel. its refreshing to see you with that same sparkle in your eye as back in the day and to learn that you quit the band for very noble reasons. you've aged beautifully my friend! just a thought but it would be awesome to hear you drum to a version of the song with the drums stripped out so we can just heard what you're doing. I know it would be more work for your crew but I think it would add to that portion of the video. either way, its fascinating to see you kill it so hard playing to songs you haven't heard in over a decade. a true talent and shining soul. you often stole the show with your sense of humor and impeccable badassery on the drums. best wishes to you and your family! oh yeah, I think there's millions of people (including myself) who would cherish that drum head if it came into their possession.
A raffle would be amazing for that snare head! Would be awesome for someone to have a small piece of Sum 41 history! Also, the excitement you have for playing again is infectious! 😈
The Hell Song is one of my favorite Sum 41 songs. Does This Look Infected?, is a classic Melodic Punk album. You did awesome as always, Steve!
thank you!
legit one of the first sum 41 songs I ever heard and it blew my mind. I immediately got the album from my library and ripped the whole thing onto my mp3 player. am now currently learning to play the bass part. still so dope
Dude, I absolutely love the insight into one of my favorite bands from growing up. I love how just fucking goofy you all are 😂
Don't just throw that out dude! If I were you, I'd keep it for memories but it's cool that you want to pass it on for a fan to be inspired by it!
Keep making videos! Everyone of them has been great so far!
Loving the content stevo. Growing up you were always one of my favorite drummers to watch because your facial expressions were so animated. It’s cool to see you finding your love of drumming again.
Man dude you're one hell of a guy! I was feeling a little down today but seeing this video and how funny you are lifted my spirit a little...IMA GO PLAY MY DRUMS!
It’s been amazing watching your videos. I remember being on a field trip to Washington DC the year fat lip came out. It was an overnight trip and I was sharing a room with 3 buddies of mine and we were up all night with mtv on, and a late night premiere came up for sum 41- fat lip. I remember being captivated and was a fan from that moment on. As a dad with kids now, I try to make sure my kids are influenced by all the amazing music I grew up on. Thanks 🙏 and love the channel! Also would love the drum head!! 😂
This channel has been amazing. I grew up in southern ontario so you guys were a huge influence on me as a teen, I play ska as a middle 30 something now, but your style has always been one my favorites for the pop punk genre.
This channel is gold. Love your personality Stevo. You always seemed like the crazy, party guy in the band, and your personality is built for CZcams.
Good to see you interacting with your fans and stuff as well - top content!
Just got my ticket for the final Sum41 UK show in Cardiff in November - it ain’t gonna be the same without ya!
Thanks man! Have a nice time at the show!
I think I’ve commented on CZcams
Man i’m glad you’re making videos , you’re freakin awesome keep drumming and having fun 🥁🤟🏻
God dammit Steve, I absolutely love your new content hahahaha love that you're able to show your true goofy ass self. We love it!
I’m 100% interested in the drum head my guy 🙏 I’d also love to see some revisiting of half hour of power and to hear some of your thoughts on the album.
A lot of people don’t see it for the insane rollercoaster that it is. Metal to punk to pop punk to ska to rap and back to metal? What a crazy thing that album even came out, let alone came out great and for a freshman album? Insane. Have the vinyl on my wall 👌
Love love love the play throughs. Keep em coming!
I’ve always thought you were 1 of the best personalities and coolest members of the band and never felt like it was the same without you. I still love all that old stuff and can say you all were 1 of the bands that got me into punk music really heavy. I remember being a middle school kid and watching the fat lip music video on tv all the time and being like this is so cool. Still probably 1 of my favorite music videos of all time. Love the channel man and all the stuff you’ve been doing!
Thanks man! That's cool of you to say!
I love how sincere and funny you are
It’s crazy that you can still play these songs so well after all that time. Dude, you have to do a video talking about “still waiting”. With Will Sasso and how your kit kept changing throughout the video. You don’t smoke? Well you do now! 😂
Hi Stevo!
The last I heard you were selling real estate! It's good to see you after so long. I just found your channel and subbed right away!
You're an absolute legend bro!✌️
absolutely love watching you doing your thang!
I love these videos, I feel very nostalgic for the time when you were part of Sum 41. I hope you can play Walking Disaster one day, it is my favorite song and I love the rhythm you make in the first part of the song. Greetings from Spain Stevo!! ❤
I will get to underclass heroes songs and walking disaster for sure at some point thank you!
Thank you Stevo for continuing to delight us with
your creativity, І look forward to the next video
Everything about this video rocked! Keep 'em coming
Hell Song blew my freaking mind when I first heard it in sixth grade, such a tune!
I would love to have that snare head for my home recording studio Stevo! To think when I feel helpless or unmotivated while writing music, I can look up at my very own Stevo drum head and tell myself, "Everything will be alright." That would be a dream come true.
I'm not saying I need that drum head, but I need that drum head. I saw Sum 41 for the third time at Download festival this year. I bought a Sunday ticket just to see them and literally cried my eyes out for the entirety of the set, especially during Hell Song. Both happy and sad tears. Got my tickets secured for their final show in Leeds this October. Keep the videos coming Stevo, you're a legend
Amazing - have a good time!
Incredibly tight performance! Loved every second of it!
I really hope to be able to go to Canada to see the last Sum show(s) in January. Me and the GF had saved up since pre-covid to go to Japan and see Sum at Knotfest ‘23, but they had to cancel last minute. Though I understand I can’t expect to see you on the drums on those shows, it sure would be one *hell* of a nice sendoff for the band☺️
Hell Song was one of the first Sum 41 songs I ever heard. Loved the music video
So sick! Was hoping you’d play this! Awesome your doing these videos
Hahahaha so many great references in that clip, glad you still find them just as funny now after all these years! Don’t throw out the skin, I’m sure Mike could find a spot for it in the museum,
If not plenty of people would go the huak taw to get their hands on it!
Amazing channel! So glad you graced us with your presence in 2024 😊
Does This Look Infected is still my favourite album. I got to see you live during that tour and still boast to people that I got a hug from you!
Definitely need a competition or draw for that drum head. Gold!
This is a great channel concept with surprisingly good production. Looking forward to the next one.
Keep up the grat work dude! The deep dives on history take me back. Excellent stuff!
great song, my favorite childhood album and still is to this day, i think, glad to see your back in action💪
Love that you are back inland making videos. Really insightful and brighten my days. This was my favorite era for Sum Fartie One and I think any fan would love any kind of memorabilia from these eras!
Dude! I asked for this video (along with other people) 2 weeks ago and here you have it my man. Thank you!
I'm supposed to go to Sum 41 concert in Orlando in Sept, I say "supposed" to because I was a major fan back in 2006 and someone recently surprised me with tickets to see the band but I don't really want to go, you were my favorite member and I didn't even know you left the band until I googled it a few days ago 😂
Haha right on steve this is friggin hilarious man. Watching you play is awesome you're so fluid it's great, thanks !!
Such great videos, it's awesome to hear the stories behind the music and watch you nail the songs one by one. Can't wait to see more! 🤘
Thanks!
So great to see you playing the stuff I grew up loving
Stevo I’m loving this channel, man! As a drummer, it is awesome seeing you playing these parts and hearing your stories. Would love to have that drum head too, don’t throw that puppy out!
