If I may, a few suggestions. 1st perhaps you should use the embroidery hoop theory, create a firmer mold that will sit neatly inside a solid outer ring to allow for a solid outer rim. I know you're trying to achieve a drip edge but it would be easier to pour and allow for a more uniform thickness. 2nd blow into the wrist opening of your glove, like a balloon, to release the gloves seal on the fingers. This works awesome for reusing gloves. 3rd if you have a bowl with a flat bottom and straight rather than curved sides, it may be easier to handle and shape. Those are just my observations from watching you struggle. Beautiful effect BTW, can't wait to see when you finally get the total effect!

I think the resin cured faster than expected, is because of heat retention. The crinkled plastic was wrapped upwards. As if the resin mold had deep sides created by the taped plastic wall. When the resin began to cure, causing heat to build up closer to the mold. There was no way for air to get across the top of the resin to cool it down. The more the resin heats up, the faster it cures, the more it heats up, and the cycle continues.
I would adjust the time it cures. If it is still curing too fast, try a fan. Set it to blow (near the top) on one of the taped walls. This should help circulation enough to dissipate heat and slow down the cure for longer drip time.

I love it. I have tried a couple bowls, which have failed. Then I gave up. Maybe a sculpture is a better way to go. I love the different things you do. I'm kind of inspired to try again.

Beautiful...the textured effect is wonderful. May I ask how you fix the edges. Sometimes mine are sharpish.
I think that could be a good seller. When you realized that you were not going to get your drips, could you have made a little more resin and poured or brushed over the bowl/vase and gotten the drips that way? I've done similar to that and got good results from it.
I mean around the mold 1 inch around the edge

The mirror as the base superliked "muy fino de calidad" why you don't try a base made of the same Blue resin: another but little bowl upside down in the same blue of the bowl or other contrast color or gold or silver or red or orange, purple or emerald green...or as clear of the original.
Or a flat base same size that mirror
All color or blends in resin in a flat base...
Or any color flat resin base with the mirror below.
