Soaper/nail tech here: tip for your dip nails. If your filing product off when you switch colours or redo your mani, or if you file the surface of the nail to prep the nail after soaking product off, it will weaken your nails because it thins your nail plate each and every time you file, or buff for that matter. ❤

I waited with baited breath to order this soap after I saw it was coming available on the website....well my irser came last night ( very quickly I might add) and this soap was worth the wait. Wow, those are gorgeous! I love the diagonal piping, too. The piping on the side of the container trick is brilliant. My biggest problem is piping too thin OR too thick. I'll have to try that!

Hell Hello, elegance at its best. Everything about this soap is top notch . You have to be extremely proud of yourself. I also saw you splitting your lye and oils and it came out perfect. I have to critique one itty bitty thing though. Where are your new spatulas? I only seen you use them on their debut. 😞😆 I, a personal preference like the heat safe that don’t separate. I know what right do I have!!!! NONE!! Be safe and have an awesome day

@Ellen Ruth-you might also try Vitamin E and Biotin supplements. That’s what our daughter’s dermatologist recommended for her when she was taking Accutane. They are good for nails, skin and hair.

Ellen Ruth Soap, actually think you can get pretty darn close again. I’ve been trying to study pours, swirls & hanger techniques as they’ve all eluded me. As I watched your in the pot pour, I found it very interesting. Watch it a couple of times & notice how you started circling the pot after a few drops that started in a pattern which you in the moment you seemed to abandoned & started swirling the drop from I think outside into the center. Just my crazy thoughts...lol. Was amazed because the mold pour looked dark & I thought there’d be few swirls. It’ll be fun to try again & if you do, hope you’ll share 🤞😉. Ellen Ruth Soap it’s best to have too much rather than not enough! I read somewhere you need about a third of your batter for a high top. I’ve not done much piping yet, but I’ve really enjoyed the little bit I have done...and it really elevates the soap 💕
I make a Black Raspberry Vanilla with the same FO and colors. It looks nothing like yours! The one thing I do to brighten it up a bit is add a little Purple Vibrance to the Blackberry. It perks up the purple while still giving it that deep dark purple color. I hanger swirl the soap and then pipe white batter on top and place berry embeds along the top. I still have people thinking it is Lavender fragrance even though it has a big old blackberry on top and raspberries beside them! Thanks for the video.

Very nice design Ellen, very pretty! Did you use fresh Aloe, if you did, how did you juice it? I'm wanting to make an aloe soap, but I want to use the real thing. A friend of mine has an aloe plant and she's going to give me a nice size leaf. Also, I noticed you got 24 bars of soap from that mold, what size is it? I love your channel too. 🥰💞👍
Thank you! I use aloe vera juice. If you're wanting to use aloe pulp from the plant, just peel it and puree it very well, then replace that amount for liquid. If you're using pulp, I would add it to the oils. The mold is the triple tall skinny from Workshop Heritage, they have all the dimensions and specs.

What a gorgeous soap!! I've noticed that you seem to have a theme of teal colored appliances and other things! That is actually the color theme (teals/turquoise/gray/black) for my house and my favorite color! Did you choose all of these teal things on purpose or did it just happen that way? haha

Hello Ellen! I noticed this batch is a little smaller/shorter bars than some of the other batches you’ve made. May I ask how many ounces of oils did you put into the soap calc? Beautiful job.

Thanks! The cream powder adds a really "creamy" feel to the lather, plus all the skin benefits from the properties of milk...
Can I used coconut milk with salt to substitute for sodium lactate, or any form of milk with salt, this soap is beautiful I always admire your work
Thanks! I have heard that adding 1tsp of salt per lb of oils, to your liquid does help with hardness. Just dissolve it before adding the lye 😉

How lond do you leave your piping before start decorating your soap ? Also do you make a separe batch or you use the same? Sorry I know to many questions
I usually use the same batch, just save some off and let it get thicker... How long to wait really depends on the fragrance and recipe, I've waited over an hour before and others are ready in a few minutes....
Wonderful , How much fragrance usually used to not dissipate after a while ?
I typically use the max recommended for CP soap, each fragrance is a bit different.

Ellen this soap is beautiful! I love it! I have a question about your wire cutter, do you get those "wire warts" or little bubbles? I don't see any on your videos and I recently ordered soap from you and there were none! Do you plane your soap? I still cut by hand with a knife because I think they are so unsightly. (I also don't have an expensive wire cutter designed specifically for soap, though, either.) Anyway, lovely soap as always! Love your videos! ❤

Sorry, can I ask, do you put the steam machine to return the shine to the liquid soap you apply to capor machine. Excellent videos.
I use the clothes steamer on the soap tops the next day, after it's all set up, firm and dry. I do it before I unmold.

Charcoal as a colourant? THE ONLY Other thing you could have done to make it more difficult for yourself was use TD....
