- This piece is based on the Indian mythological story of a peacock's distress at its ugly feet, unaware of how beautiful he actually is. It is in the peahen's appreciation and love for his beauty that he discovers self-love and she discovers her missing wings highlighting, how true love is unconditional and often sacrificial.
