- Mexico City (Ciudad de México 2024 in Spanish, aerial an drone filming filming) is the biggest city and the capital of Mexico. It is also the oldest city of the Americas. Mexico City was first built by the indigenous Aztec people and previously known as Tenochtitlan. Tenochtitlan was originally constructed on a island in a lake. After the Spanish conquest of Mexico by Hernán Cortés in 1519, Lake Tenochtitlan was drained. The Spanish built Catholic Churches over the Aztec temples. Most famous example is the Catedral Metropolitana de la Ciudad de México in downtown Mexico City. Nowadays Mexico City metropolitan area has a population of 22 million and is one of the biggest and fast growing cities in the world. 40 kilometers north of Mexico City is the ancient city of Teotihuacan located from the first millennium (1 AD to 500 AD). Teotihuacan was the largest city in the pre-Columbian Americas, with a population estimated at least 125,000.

I have travelled to several cities in US and Canada (One time I stayed 1 month just in Toronto), I have gone to 2 cities in Brazil, to 3 in Argentina (I have gone 2 times to Argentina) , I have gone to Panama, I have gone to Morroco, 2 times to Israel, 2 times to Palestine, 1 time to Jordania, I have travelled 2 times to Japan (once I stayed 1 month), I have travelled to China (I disliked it a lot because of people). I lived 1 year in Madrid and 1 year in Barcelone, these years almost all the weekends I went to Paris because my boyfriend lived there. I have gone several times to France, Italy, Spain, Switezerland, Germany, UK, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands, Monaco, Greece, Tukish, Denmark, Sweden and Irland (both Irlands, UK an EU) and Austria.... I forgot Jamaica... as soon as I remember quickly, maybe more. Obviosly I have travelled a lot inside my country.

I have been to New York city, not all parts. NY it is the city of metal, has history, has monuments, and has few other significant things. Unfortunately it feels dull. People make it look like NY is not that important. Like it's just a city of metal. Mexico city has more history. It feels like a fairy tale, feels unreal, and seems that it is not part of the American continent. It's just one 🌎 in a lake with rivers .
As a Mexican-New Yorker, I agree haha. So true. CDMX has waaay more culture and is more bigger than NYC.

In fact nyc is very interesting if you get to books of history but I have to tell the truth, nyc has indeed a very dark pass and a dark presence, for example there is wall street that almost no body knows the significance of black people against a wall to be … that’s only one example.
In comparison CDMX have the roots of the lives of our ancestors, as much as they been trying to cover up what spain did, we resist to disappear.
