The Acoylte may not have been perfect, but we can all admit that Qimir is one of the coolest Sith ever.

100BBY is what I’m told the timeline date is so Darth Tenebrous and Darth Plagueis are the only 2 Sith in the galaxy. So is he a fallen Jedi or?
@@JMitch556 That's what seems to implied when Vernestra referred to Qimir as a former pupil. But it seems at this point in the timeline Plagueis is training Qimir. But here's what I think is gonna happen. Qimir has taken Osha under his wing, thus breaking the rule of two. And I'm pretty sure Plagueis knows this now. So he's probably gonna kill them both and then later on he'll find Palpy and the rest is history. But that's just a theory.

Before The Rule of Two "sith" was just a title the same way "jedi knight" is so he might be referring to that. He doesn't even refer to himself a sith, he just said jedi might use that name to refer to people like him (I assume he means people who wield the Dark Side of the Force). He may not care for The Rule of Two at all
Qimir is quickly climbing the ranks of my favorite Star Wars villains! Can't wait to see his dynamics with Plagueis and Osha next season!
I really hope they don't cancel the second season, I think the pacing and story could be a lot better now that the characters are all introduced and they won't have to do the flashbacks anymore.
andor is the least watched and least profitable starwars show to date and it's getting a 2nd season. Disney doesn't care about meaningless online reviews, no major production company does. The only concern is the show cost 180m for its first season, and that's not sustainable to do twice for a show that isn't Mandalorian level big.

Qimir is one of the best characters in the Acolyte. From his lightsaber fighting skills to his overall personality, he never fails to impress us.

While the show had it's ups AND downs, it gave us Qimir, an awesome soundtrack, the best Disney-era lightsaber fights, great costume-designs and a lot of plot points to look forward to for season 2!

I loved The Acolyte despite what everybody says about it online. I hope you make more content on it; it's a great story with cool characters that do a lot more feeling than other Star Wars shows and movies. The Acolyte is a thinking persons Star Wars show, but it was in the subtext versus the in your face themes of Andor, another incredible show.

I am so unbelievably excited that Plageuis was in Acolyte. My favorite Sith, and one of the most important yet unseen characters for the events of the Prequels. I have a feeling Osha and Qimir arent long for this world now that the wily Muun is on their trail.
I'll be honest. He's the most interesting character in the Acolyte for me. I may not be a big fan of the show, but I'd still like to see where his characters goes
Well... even if there won't be a season 2 eventually he will be destroyed by Plageuis because he will have Palpatine as an apprentice. And when Quimir was talking about freedom I think he was not referring to the Jedi really but more like to get free from his own master. Sith apprentices always challenge their masters.
Props to Disney that they really nailed the FIlipino Sith lord if there was ever one.. A guy donning a motorcycle helmet in a rain coat looking as if he was about to ride his Suzuki Raider.. aka "the Kamote rider" look.
You either drown in the drip or rise from it. And man does the stranger have drip. One of the hardest outfits we’ve seen in starwars since the Sith stalker armor.

I love him! The hottest Sith since Mustafar. He’s terrifying and compelling and attractive all at once! Definitely my favorite recent Sith. I want a second season mainly so we can get more of him. He and Sol were the best parts of the Acolyte.

For as much as I wasn’t a fan of the show overall, I’d love to see Manny Jacinto reprise this role.

We finally have a Sith Lord who’s actually as bloodthirsty and brutal as Sith ideology *should be* portrayed, *and* he’s a damn good duelist.
No “slapping some prop lightsabers together and calling it a day.”
You actually get the sense that the lightsaber is an **extremely** dangerous weapon when you watch that scene of him slaughtering the Jedi.
Dude’s a tank, and I hope to see him kick more ass in the future.

the start is a bit slow but the second half is quite good
Not sure if it was intended but the transition from the stabs to the explosions at 1:30 seemed kinda smooth it was clean

And Qimir was the frickin best, an amazing character and awesome bad guy. Plus I have always love Manny, so glad he was Qimir!! He was so great!!! Also the fight sequences, chefs kiss

I would like to see season 2 to see how the relationship between Qimir and Osha turns out. It would be the first interracial relationship shown in Star Wars and I hope it last longer than it did with Reylo. The fight with Sol also allows me to examine the fight with Mace and Palpatine. Qimir was stalling time for Osha to kill Sol and it makes me wonder if he allowed himself to be vulnerable on purpose to allow Osha to have revenge against Sol for killing her mother.

Such a good tribute. I loved this show. Qimir is a great Sith and it's haunting to think that he and Osha may be part of the lineage that leads to Sidious.
They aren't, Plagueis trains Sidious, their line fails
In the EU there is a story where Plagueis is eventually commissioned by his master to kill Tenebrous’s previous, now rogue, apprentice Darth Venamis - a Sith who has erratic lightsaber skills, armors themselves with cortosis and can force levitate… His skills are so great that Plagueis needs to eventually resort to the Force to kill him.
Sounds awfully familiar… I feel like in Season 2 we will learn Qimir wast cast aside by both his Jedi Master Vernestra as well as his Sith Master Tenebrous - with his back scars being the result of either Tenebrous’s force lightning or Vernestra’s whip (or even their combination). The Season will revolve around Plagueis’s espionage into the vergence on Brendoc, how the twins were conceived and how the Jedi were involved - as well as of course the powers of Osha and Qimir. The season finale might of course revolve around Plagueis killing Osha and Qimir after he has learned enough.

Qimir's charecter is certainly intresting. He clearly is some sort of Dark, or Fallen, Jedi. He felt betrayed and had a revealation: the jedi seem to regard as a potential hostile any other type of force-worshiping cult, sect or other organisation that doesn't adhear to the Light Side of the Force.
Diffrent beings have different views on the Force and Life itself, so to decree that any Dark or Grey-ish interpretation of the Will of The Force is self-limiting at best and borders on intollerance at worse.
Qimir coolest sith! I know a lot of people didn’t like the show, my family really like it and i as well. I’m just sick and tired of the “Woke” trend just super annoying and if you don’t like it and why you still watching it.

I'm genuinely curious about what was woke about this show? I've seen that word thrown about so much when talking about the show but I literally didn't see anything woke in it except for a single lesbian couple,which on its own isn't even really woke.

I stopped watching after 3 but have seen clips of him. He seems to be the only character I can say was decent. I would not be opposed to seeing him again, hopefully in something actually good because I think the actor has the chops to do well.

I would have liked that the show was more about Qimir since episode 1, depicting how he was betrayed by the Jedi and how he became more connected to the dark side. Fuck the twins and that witch bullshit. Such of waste of money and time.
I think he is a sith but not in the same way as plagueis and tenebrous were, more like maul.

This show was so poorly made and terribly lacked in good writing, acting /directing, cinematography, only the music and choreography really stood out.

I had some issues with the dialogue and acting, and the twins also weren't super interesting. A lot of the intriguing themes also kinda just had surface level exploration. I thought it was still better than Ahsoka or Book of Boba Fett or the later seasons of the Mandalorian though.

I wouldn't say it's a great show but it was alright. The exploration of themes was too surface-level and some of the editing, acting & dialogue wasn't great.
But I certainly don't see how it created this much discourse. If you ask me, Ahsoka, The Mandalorian S3 & The Book of Boba Fett were much worse.
I also think the show was bad, but the backlash is rather unequal. Kenobi was a lot worse. And you can like a particular character in an otherwise bad show. This character was genuinely cool for the most part.

You see, it makes no sense because their can only be two.
I personally think the Acolyte has some cool Ideas but the Implementation is terrible.
There is so many stuff that breaks the Lore in the Acolyte which is just dumb.
I would have rather liked film version of the Plagueis Book it would have made more sense.
He might be canon’s Darth Venamis.
The secret is the Rule of Two is more like the guidelines of two because Sidious had allowed Dooku to train two apprentices, Maul was allowed to live while Dooku was alive and while Vader was alive. The Sith all make their code how they want it to be, they don't blindly follow a set of rules, if they wanted to do that they would just become Jedi.
The rule of 2 thing is the stupidest criticism the star wars fandom has put against this show. It has bad acting and bad pacing. But for some reason the fandom looks more at a birthday and the rule of bloody 2, an unofficial birthday (which lets be frank, doesnt change anything other than make him abit older) and fire in space which has always been a thing lmao
Where was the rule of 2 in the clone wars. Palpatine trained dooku and dooku trained ventress. So theres 3. Then there was Maul and Savage. So 5? The rule of 5 in that case. There is usually more than 2 sith present at a time. Its just such a dumb thing to get held up on. As they said in Pirate of the Caribbean. Its more guidelines. I dont think the sith sit down and go "oh darn there is 3 sith in the entire galaxy now. This is against the rules"

The rule of two does not forbid a Sith Lord having a Sith Acolyte, which Ventress, Savage Oppress the Inquisitors ,Maul as Padawan and now also Quimir seems to be.
Btw. The definition of Sith is very difficult in Star Wars.
In KOTOR even normal Soldiers of the Sith and Sith followers, admirals etc.
Which are no Sith Lords, are referred to as _Sith_.
Mainly because they belong to the faction of the Sith Empire.
In newer Star Wars especially the Canon with the term *Sith* you refer to a Sith Lord. Which Quimir is not.
A Sith Lord being according to the rule of two, a Sith following the Line of Darth Bane and having the _Darth_ Title.
Interestingly enough in the Book Darth Plagueis, Plagueis talks about him being the only Sith of Banes Line after killing Darth Tenebrous his master. He stated everyone else using the Dark Side is nothing more than a pretender which Quimir definitely is.

The ideas for Qimir's character were interesting but the execution was terribly done.
Acting execution by the actor was great. Writing execution, terrible.
Trashiest Sith Lord ever, its a complete joke this trash is supposed to be on par with legendary characters like Darth Maul and Vader. Nothing on the actor though, he did an ok job with the slop dialogue and story they wrote.
