Prayers aren't going to do anything. What this family needs is justice. The fact that this maniac was somehow able to escape prison, avoid a police search for 3 weeks when he was only half a mile away from the prison and acquire a weapon within that time span is beyond ridiculous. There needs to be a reform of the police department.

My cousin Mark and his grandchildren were such wonderful souls and I mourn them gravely. Please, Lord, forgive the bastard that did this and allow our family a moment of peace and guidance through this difficult time. I know not everyone believes in God but the comfort of his faith is what brought the Collins clan together. Peace be with all of us, young and old, no matter what doctrines of life we follow.

She was also saved from surgery the morning she was scheduled for an operation for a broken hip, already confirmed by X-ray. We prayed the night before and the doctors were stunned the next morning after a preop X-ray showed no break. The doctors offered no explanation and simply released her.

Wrong. Prayer saved my mother, who survived the most severe case of internal infection her surgeon had ever seen... his disbelief was expressed to me later that day.
She was also saved from surgery the morning she was scheduled for an operation for a broken hip, already confirmed by X-ray. We prayed the night before and the doctors were stunned the next morning after a preop X-ray showed no break. The doctors offered no explanation and simply released her.

Our Prisons need to be more secure, how was this inmate allowed to escape?
So sick. So heartbreaking.
This is so sad. There was no reason to kill this family. He was just a wicked bastard all the way through. But his escape was just not good enough. Some corrupt prison officer must have had something to do with it,
Why on earth would he need to kill anyone else, everyone already knew who he was?!? So senseless and cruel. He could have just taken the truck ffs. That poor family.
Pretty sure he was ensuring the death penalty for hisself if he was captured alive- that'd be a good why. Also he'd spent almost the past 20yrs on a g5 unit (im guessing due to his sentence- 50yrs & over is normally g5, he was life w/parole thats a 30yr minimum) you have to turn into a sociopath if you arent already to survive & stay half sane on that unit level

Heartbreaking 💔 Those parents lost all their sons, their only kids! 😔 As a mother I couldn't even imagine the pain those parents are feeling right now.
The mother will be destroyed, for the rest of her life. That pain doesn’t go away, that man gave her a life sentence of pain and grief :(

Why didn't the several police chase after the killer when he was videoed running thru the field, while they stood along the roadside?
If police previously searched the home, cabin, why didn't they remove the firearms for safety ?

Yea lot of lessons to be learned here. Also including how he avoided detection for so long, right next to where he was last seen..
Police officers in Texas are lazy, this could have been prevented.
