    I love these videos and seeing everyone so young, relaxed and happy before the harsh reality of adulthood comes along where life beats them down and crushes their souls little by little, year after year, decade after decade until they're dead. The bliss of youth is so fleeting.

      It’s not adulthood that beats them down lol no wayyy! It’s definitely childhood and your teenage years!

    According to Google, McGavock is in Nashville, TN. 1988 was a different time and those that I remember as really good and much simpler times. I'd love to go back to these times in this video. I graduated high school in 1988.

    1988 was the best year of my life. I was 16 and got my 1st car.

    I enjoyed watching this video, so dope to see how it was to be in highschool in the 80s 🙌🏿

    I graduated in the 80s and I remember not understanding why everyone was so happy to graduate. My fav song my senior year was "We May Never Pass This Way Again" and it really described how I felt then. I was so very sad it was ending and we wouldn't be going back, ever again...unless we failed, which no one did. The night of graduation (only 120 of us) was the night we all parted ways for the last time and some forever (they left our small town and never looked back). I wish we had video of our senior year. :-)
    My best guy friend was one of those who left - he went into the Navy. We lost touch and about a year ago, I got his phone number from his brother. He didn't answer, I texted. He let me know he and his wife were in ill health and he wasn't the person I knew back then. I told him most of us have struggled and we all changed. I never heard from him again, sadly. I never would have thought he wouldn't want to keep in touch. Gotta let it go, wish people well and move on. The sands of time are running out more quickly so we have to enjoy what we have left and make even more memories! Blessings!

      It is strange as I remember kids in my class all talked about how they couldn’t wait to graduate high school and get into the work force. I don’t know what we were thinking because high school was not only easy but fun too. I mean, you are with your friends all day and get to meet girls etc etc.

      Oh and btw I’d say probably half of the friends I had in high school I have not seen since high school. Funny how that happens

    These guys are 52-53ish now and probably have grandchildren by now. I miss those days for sure. I'm from Nc but have family roots in Tennessee. The good ol days are gone unfortunately but I guess we just have to make the best with we've got 🤷 Because one things for sure; as badly as we may want to go back, we can't

      Def not any grandchild 😂 maybe some grown up children in their 20s but grand children usually come around age 60-70. And they would be age 49-51

    i went to 3 different high schools and never even graduated. i'm 55 now and for some reason i like watching vids like this maybe because these folks aren't celebrities or otherwise famous or maybe just as a reminder of how much i hated school.

      @attila7092 Před rokem +1

      I have a very similar story. I went to two different high schools and I'm 55. The first few years were hell on earth. I was bullied so badly that I wanted nothing to do with graduation or prom. To this day I couldn't tell you when or where they were. But it does hurt I couldn't participate

      Yeah unfortunately I can't look at it that way. This was a once in a lifetime event. I may have been an outcast but I was there. We were entitled to the same good memories the jerks had. You can't put a price on that
