What has happened to Julian Assange is deplorable. What weak people we have in government. They’re all gutless so unlike Julian Assange. The journalists who have not spoken out in his defence are pathetic. Thank goodness for John Pilger keeping on speaking out for him. Sad state of affairs!

Despite what John Pilger's views are on a single topic or the world at large or his consistently passionate pursuit of journalism as an ethos, I will always listen to every single thing he will say.

John Pilger brings back some dignity and honour that the Australian leadership has thrown away for decades.

I was in college during the Watergate era. We followed the hearings, we read the transcripts, we were GLUED to the TV. EVERYBODY (including me) wanted to become a journalist thanks to Woodward & Bernstein. "Those were the days my friend."

Iv been listening to Pilger since the 60s when we had so many real journalists, he is among a small that remains very few have been added. The industry has come to heel and been been made aware who is paying there salaries. The watchdog of democracy has got fat and lazy. Respect to John Pilger, shame on the majority .

great interview as always with John Pilger. I didn't quite agree with his answer regarding how a female journalist or any for that matter can try to do the kind of muckraking journalism of his caliber with little money. travel is still ridiculously expensive as is trying to find accommodation and living day to day doing a story overseas and abroad, but with the rise of independent media and people who can self publish on their own websites and do soundcloud and hope people can donate there is reason for hope, but like anything it seems if you aren't privilege your at a disadvantage.

The call to journalism is as powerful as the call to serve god: If you don't have the calling, journalism is not for you.

Why do ppl keep walking left and right? Can't they sit still? He's got years of experience - he shud speak into the mic. If he keeps looking away, we can't hear him.
