- The new Ultimate Streetcar series is kicking off with one of the coolest cars we have ever featured on this channel. This Lexus SC300 is equipped with a 2JZGE non-VVT-i block paired with a GE VVT-i head and a big single turbo, and the real jaw-dropper of this setup is the transmission. This was one of the first BMW DCT swapped JZ cars in the country!

Ive always said it…. The biggest weakness of all non-mk4 JZ cars is the existence of the mk4. No matter how good you make em they are always a hard sell bc of the “might as well get a mk4” mentality. Even if the reality is the mk4 platform is only vastly superior if you have a TT 6 Speed LSD.
Maybe this calls for a video of its own 🤔

@@SickStreets4K well said, i have a soarer so the JDM version of this car either was still the same chassis, this car came out before the mk4 supra and the supra was made off of this chassis and parts. most of the parts between theses and the supra are interchangeable. can literally have a supra without looking like a supra for half the cost...
I've been a fan of my twin here (I have a similar MSM SC,) since Danny started this project. No expense was spared building this beast! I've been in this SC game since '05 and have owned 6 SC's. I was also the 2nd owner of the black SC in this vid (1st owner was a librarian in Tampa lol) so when I tell you Danny's car is well-built and clean, believe that. I'd buy this thing if I didn't already have one lol. But damn, this sh*t mooooooves!

This thing easily kills cars 100-200 hp above it’s class just w that box alone, and also the fact that many of these newer cars weigh a lot more than our old school Japanese projects

@@xyzebruh1083 if your going that route consider adding a gear vendors over drive makes those big hp t400 even better for street use and can take the HP.....most drag and drive guys run them...

Hey let's make sure I'm understanding what he said... Was the GE bottom end built? Aftermarket Pistons, rods, ECT! If I'm correct I heard only that it's a low mileage GE Supra motor. And if so how's it making that much POWA without self destructing? Now I have a build Supra so have owned Supra's since the 80's so I know my Toyotas and I own 3 Lexus GS300's.
Yes, stock pre 98 GE non VVTI short block. It has the same rods as the GTE with higher compression. With proper tune and Supporting mods it will last a pretty long time around 700-800whp.

As a kid, I had 2 Sc300. Last one being a 99 red one I bought from dealer w 50k miles for 14k !
This was a while back, but that was a good chunk of change for me l! and that’s still because I couldn’t afford what I really wanted so this was the closest thing to it !
Said I was gonna leave at stock. But then came the NAT build I tried doing with a piggyback AEM computer!
But it never dialed in right. So out came the motor and I swapped in a JDM GTE motor. Put the cheap single turbo from NAT build on it.
Ran it automatic for a while.
Then did a whole manual conversion! W R154.
Think I sold that car for 9k or so 🫤

Had this setup with a DKG TCU since Late 2019 then switched to the Maxxecu last year.
