I feel like I would be guilty of a crime if I didnt report a robbery
dayum you robbed that dude with out even having to wear a ski mask hahahaha
Lmfao those were my exact thoughts 😂
This seller is a legend - he knew what he was doing and clearly preferred to sell to Caleb than do the work and sell them himself - super jealous of that sealed box
I wonder how thrilled james was when caleb sold off his entire gamecube collection after the series.
Because of this series I bought a GameCube cleaned everything, bought a Gameboy Adapter and bought Pokemon colloseum. More games coming 👍 cheers from Germany 🇩🇪
best pokemon game!
Mach doch! Wie viele games für deine collection? Möchte Mir auch einen kaufen!
😁
James was better off trading it in to GameStop. #AnotherOneBitesTheDust
Yeah but instead of $1935.00 he would of gotten $19.35 😂
@@RedsMadness. nah he would’ve gotten $9.35 😅
I would like to see an interview with James on how and why he collected so much video game stuff.
Why would you say cubivore it’s self is 400 and then offer 450 for the whole bin? You should hook the man up man.
Guys, this dude's dealt with Caleb before. Weird how insanely triggered ppl are by some of these prices. He knows what he has, and if he wanted to sell his stuff for a bigger profit, he would've.
They're just butthurt because they didn't achieve the level of success that Phoenix has during his hunt. It's called a cope.
He obviously doesn't have the time or care to sell it himself. So selling bulk is his best option.
Well, he was definitely good to Caleb because Cubivore is worth $450 alone so if he just sold that game then ALL those other games were free. Caleb definitely has his privileges, however I can't hate on him for putting in the work and effort to get these amazing deals.
Yeah he openly said that the game is worth 400-ish, so even if the guy knew nothing else, he heard that as well and was willing to accept 450 anyway knowing that. No one can claim he took advantage of someone who didn't know
I did a quick calculation on the value of all the items in the Gamecube tote just to get an idea of the value to assess the $450 purchase price. Caleb was correct that the majority of the value comes from the Gamecube games themselves which total $1,014 (on eBay, so Amazon would likely be more - Also, I have Cubivore valued at $475 which is in line with eBay sold comps). The rest of the value comes mostly from the Gamecube console and controller. On Amazon, I found the Platinum and Indigo bundles going for $180-190, I'd assume the black one is the same. Misc items include the Halo Reach collectors box, which goes for about $15 box only on eBay, and $40 complete with the game (Which James said he sold Caleb previously - So I assume here that it will be complete). The big Xbox One Battleborn box set I couldn't find, the game only goes for about $5 on eBay so probably not worth much more than that. There are two Super Mario Bros Power Up Card Games, which sell for $13.99 each on Amazon. A Megaman X6 PS1 game (disc only) is $10. Super Mario Bros 3 on the NES is $15. The 2 Mario Kart Wii Figures I couldn't find exact comps, probably $10-15 apiece on those, but probably more trouble than they are worth realistically. There were also 8 PS4 games, 22 PS3, and 8 Nintendo DS games in the tote. Mostly items worth $4-8 each, but a couple of $10-18 games. I imagine most would just get traded in, so let's just say $50 total for those 38 games. There are probably a couple of miscellaneous items that I overlooked, but I think I got the vast majority.
In total taking the lower estimates on the items with a range, comes out to $1,361.98.
The $450 offer comes out to 33.04% of the pre-fee value. I know Caleb has stated in the past he likes to be around 40-50% of after fees value, so he's probably in that range once fees are taken into account.
I initially thought the offer seemed low, and maybe Caleb should have worked out a deal separately for Cubivore. Since stating its value to be in the $400 range, then offering $450 for the entire tote just rubs people the wrong way.
Wow.... u must have no life 🤣🤣🤣 kid just scams the elderly... he feels pressured to sell and well he took advantage
The seller knew that the cubivore game was a keeper not a flip which played into him accepting the offer but also they have a relationship sometimes you give a little to keep the buyer coming back. It also sounded like the seller got more overall than he was expecting and it takes alot of time piecing out such a large collection
Ebay fees 15% - 204.29
Shipping fees 10% - 136.19
Taxes 15% - 204.29
Total: 544.79 (give or take a 100)
That's assuming he sells it all at Market value, which he isn't it in to squeeze every cent out, so to turn the items he needs to be under Market value.
We are also assuming that he sells everything and there will definitely be bricks liquidated for 1 or 2 dollars. Maybe even a bulk deal for free similar to this.
Ooh by the way he spending the time to post them and fulfill the orders.
The prices aren't great in a whole sell, I would have sold the valuable myself and brought what was left, but as you will find this is extremely common and I'd you had a great opportunity I have no doubt you would perform similar to Phoenix.
$450 for the cubivore bin? Wtf I was thinking $700 would be more than fair. You literally bought that 1 game and got everything else free
Wow that nes empire strikes back alone can go for $1000, and the cibivore $400, so with just 2 games you almost have your money back. I'd say that's a deal of a lifetime
I feel like that GameCube bin was slightly underpaid for
Slightly is generous he reamed that old man
Are you guys considering he owes eBay or Amazon around 15 percent and us government 25 percent he can't pay full price bec he owes money on every dollar he makes
@@dotcom721 It's not like the guy didn't know what he had.
I swear people think everyone can just dodge taxes he pays at 40 percent of value on games over 10 dollars for a reason
dude had the opportunity to throw another number back at him but he accepted
I'm sure I'm not alone in this being my favorite series in the channel. Makes me brainstorm what to do when it is done...
The Xbox X-Change
DS for Less
The Dreamcast Blast
The Wii Spree
More 64
The Game boy Gauntlet
Destination Playstation
more 64 rolls of the toung so good
these are fire lmao
I'd low ball too...nothing wrong with getting a sweet deal/snag. But let's be real...he flat out robbed this guy. Lol...and that's ok.
That box of sealed games was highway robbery as well.
It's so weird because he almost has an obligation to lowball in order to leave as much room to negotiate as possible. Also he obviously needs to make a profit too, but the guy who's selling it to him must really enjoy being on camera or really like the reseller, because he never seems to counter the offers. As long as they're both happy
@@ThatDiabeticChemist in the previous video with him he realized the guy wasn't countering so he told him the honest value of things first before making his offer (usually 50-60%) and the guy still accepted. tbh he probably got the majority of this stuff for really good deals and it's all profit anyway. he said he got a lot at fleamarkets so it's not like he bought every single item new as it came out.
This guy is singlehandedly getting Caleb rich
Yeah it baffles me there's a 25k wait-list but these streamers like him and Rick miraculously insta approved. Then the simps buying a ceiling $250 mystery box for $500. Mega cringe
@@LuisDR1990 pretty sure its because they were sponsored...
@@LuisDR1990 For some reason what you brought up reminds me of the Tmartn (famous gaming youtuber) scandal where he failed to disclose that he was connected at a business level with a CS GO skin lotto website platform. Wouldn't it be hilarious if one of these so called video game collectors/resellers actually owned stake? Thank goodness most of them are dumb to run a platform like that lol
I love your seller's vibe! A great video. I mostly appreciate the respect regarding the offers you made. And he was super nice accepting them. Kudos to both.
16:52 He said am I overpaying on some of this stuff? Like Booker T would say, “Tell me he didn’t just say that”
It drives me nuts that the GameCube games on your shelf aren’t in any sort of order.
12:23 dude really said he hoped to break even knowing he was getting a massive steal 💀
The memories I have seeing the Gamecube games. Wish I had kept everything but now I'm getting motivated to start acquiring a 64 and Gamecube.
He's more generous than Retro Rick. Can't believe he tried to get 35 BOXED Master System games for less than 50 Dollars when 1 of the games alone was worth $70 lol
This deal got me triggered. It can’t even be called deal, this is a steal. I don’t get how the seller could feel good with these prices, but still if everyone’s happy well thats a good deal…love your videos a lot btw
He knew the guy would say yes to any deal he threw out. This was just taking advantage of. "Cubivore alone goes for like $400.... How about $450 for the whole bin" like come on
That old guy was accepting way low prices maybe he's harbouring a massive crack addiction or something
You have a point but I’d argue that the effort to sell everything individually is always left out of the equation and it can be a mammoth effort.
@@buda3d2007 All this stuff would sell super fast and it would cost you like $50 in shipping supplies max. The money youd get for selling them individually vs bulk for what he got paid is not worth it. Caleb low balled because he wants to keep cubeivore for his collection so thats why he offered the game price for the whole bin. greedy
Quiet down hater hanks. This man has to make a living for his family. Respect the hustle
You definitely did him dirty on the gamecube box. Being the gamecube gambit episode I thought it was about getting money to add to the collection not making profit. If that game wss worth minimum 450 surely 450 for the whole box was way too low. Should of been more like 650. Your still gonna walk away with games for the collection and profit. Not good Caleb:(
I think James just knowing you were a true fan and seeing your joy made up a good chunk of the value for him in that deal.
The GameCube game actually looks incredibly fun I might need to emulate that
underpaid on the GameCube stuff.
You should start paying his tax bill then you can tell him to offer 65 percent instead of 40 percent 😉
I just love your enthusiasm. You are one of my favourite flippers you seem like such a lovely young man
I f**king love this series!! Keep up the good content
James is probably the nicest person I’ve ever seen
The “Dearly Beloved” KH theme at the end was awesome as well!
I've done stuff like that too.. just bought an entire box or two -- because it's easier to check them later, on the floor in my living room than to scramble through them, outside in the heat, with bugs or drizzle..
Lmaooo that final box offer edit was perfect riff
i love this series, it’s actually made me go out and buy a gamecube to do this for myself lol
Same

Should go out and get a job

I love the GameCube gambit series!
“You know could squeeze me for more”… dude,… too nice!
Loving this series!
Imagine low balling people and then selling on WhatNot for 150% over retail...
Not a good look
Imagine having a business to manage and having to keep the water and power running. Tough actually getting by huh?
Yeah, I'd rather shove my stuff through an industrial shredder than to get ripped off by a dude that basically made the hobby a living hell.
Love your videos one of my favourite channels, tuning in from the UK!!
You inspire me to start building up slowly a gaming collection like yours brother
That KH in the background just…mwah so perfect 👍🏽
450 for that box is scummy
Facts, the man says “Cubivore itself goes in the 400 range” Offers: 450 with all the other quality titles in the box lmao.
Facts
@@evantyler1545 then he has the cheek to say people are haters and that he tries to give people fair deals when he’s openly ripping people off for everyone to see
He has to pay 15 percent to eBay and 25 percent to us government he tells them up front he offers 40 percent the guy knows what he's doing going full cash instead of getting payed where he has to declare the income
Ol boy should’ve just edited that part out. Reputation -50 pts
Crazy how he finessed himself ! A deals a deal in the end if the seller agrees though.
Look man, I’m a fan but you legit just paid for “Cubivore” & got the rest of the box for free. I know it was a bulk deal, but deff should of been a $500+ offer. All love at the end of the day.
That's what this series is all about homie. It does feel kinda sad to see someone "get ripped off", but also, maybe the guy was just happy to sell to him? I don't know really. Can't speak on the behalf of either party, but we wouldn't get these videos anyways if those deals weren't able to materialise.
I agree
He could’ve atleast given him more then just 100-150 per bin
Seeing cubivore and all those sell for 450 when cubivore alone goes for 500 is nuts and it's hard to see since Ive been trying to get my hands on cubivore for years
Be as upset as the person who sold it.
Can please advise if you sell replacement game cases or Provide a good link to where you can get them at a reasonable price
Hey what you think the best way to clean scratches off of a game disc is?
Nice touch with the KH melody at the end.
To anyone casting stones: You're ignorant to buying in bulk/repeat customer advantages that goes across all lines of business,, coupled with the fact that all this man had to do was show up with some bins that he probably acquired extremely cheap from clearouts, etc. A lot different than having to do cleaning, pricing, pictures, description forms, selling, customer service, shipping, paying fees, paying taxes, tax paperwork, etc etc.
I’m watching someone getting robbed through my phone
Made my week. Thank you.
love how the old man agrees to any number you throw at him. you could probably throw 99$ and he be like...... *nods head" yup
Fav series so far, looks like you're lapping retro Rick in subs nooiiiccee
No wonder the gamecube prizes are up in the sky! People like you hype it up so much that now everyone wants anything gamecube. I highly suggest newcomers to hold off buying into all this crap collectors and resellers are asking for games.
I just got cubivore for free online from a ROM. I have GC loader PNP so I just put that on a SD card and I can play it on the gamecube. it runs better then the OG version due to way faster loading times
idk, gamecube has been expensive for the last like 5 years tbh, and the really expensive stuff has been high even back 2012~ because they were just rare games.
Yep I remember when I bought a GameCube with sonic adventures 2 and two original controllers for $45 back in 2012 at the flea market … now everything is overpriced and inflated lol 😂

That was solid, in my country for what you paid you would have gotten less of half but the markets are very different, great job.
Really enjoying the content man!!
GameCube gambit is an awesome journey so far
Ive sold big collections of old games and cards before too and took a lower price because I understood they had to put the work into listing, packaging, and shipping each item. In my opinion it's fair, if I wanted the extra money I could have put in the extra work.
i remember buying walt disneys world racing tour in a scholastics book fair ad in school back in 2004 i think such a great game
That aqua teen hunger force game is something I’ve always wanted
For my son!!! love the retro Rick throw in

Had me dying eith the raspberry and the sigh. Just enjoying the GameCube gambit series
Amazing Caleb!!
I have been looking for a fairly clean black GameCube, what is the condition like on it, if it’s really nice i might be interested
That Brock theme deck is my unexpected winner of the video!
Edit: ATV Offroad Fury on the PS2 was my Dad, Uncle, and Grandpa's favorite game to play together at holidays, but it is the only PS2 game that we lost. That's another fantastic find!
Gamecube gambit is always great!
Good find wish could find cubivore with a manual
Had that Disney racing game for the Dreamcast, just unlocked memories I forgot I had
It’s amazing these games are worth so much with age. Makes me think 🤔 what I’ll do with all my old stuff someday. Great video man, always informative ✌🏻
This is a fun series
450 for all those GameCube games with Cubivore and the console?! That guy got bamboozled!
never too much megaman-X music. love it

Nahhhh man, you talk about being fair with your pricing, you weren't.
I was gunna say the same thing , $450 for that box?!?!? That game alone is $400 dude and you had a bunch of classic games in there. I was expecting you to say at least $650
I'd be interested in the PSP stuff if you had a link to the amazon or ebay post.
Great video man, thank you Uncle J for Cubivore!😊🍻🍺
Disney magical racing! I also played that a bunch as a kid
Unreal profit was made.👏👏love the videos
Lmao “ Am i over paying for things “
Yeah bulk is always hard to on the spot price....the GameCube games basically you got your grail game free lol......like what is the right percentage of an items value to pay especially if reselling? I know I paid $300 for a GameCube with 40 games and ended up instant selling for $1400 and got to keep one of my grails...... but my grail was only Gauntlet lol but I know you will profit very amazing on what I saw
are you going to grade any of the sealed stuff??
Doing a deal like this to a pawn store or secondhand store is one thing but to bold rob that guy like that is rough. That game cube bin alone was worth way more. The PS2 bin was worth more… really seems like James deserves far more.
Star Wars demolition was so fun!!!
thats a great score man! congrats!!
I actually found piglets big game sealed on GBA at a pawn shop recently and thought about you. It's honestly probably still there lol
