I really enjoy the food videos you create.. shows hunters the possibilities of what to do with all the game meat that results from their efforts and the great possibilities! I'd like to know How long those summer sausages would be expected to keep? is it common to use EVOO to substitue for pork (fat)? How much do you think you use?
You have some good videos on putting meat up. I thought I new a lot but I really learned a lot. I have made sausage with pork and killed hogs from a kid but have not dealt with deer, I have;NT deer hunted much just rabbit and ducks mostly. I really enjoyed this!
I have the old hand crank meat grinder that my Grandpa ground many, many, deer, steers and hogs through that he left to my late Mom, who left it to me. It still does the job. Tasty stuff. I like some valdelia onion in mine.
Jeff, what kind of seasoning did you use in that summer sausage? Does the smoke absorb through that type of casing? Man, that stuff came out looking juicy, delicious - gotta do it! And I have to do a little bragging to someone who would understand - found a grinder just like your Carnivore, or like Meat your Maker brand - but it was straight from China - it's a #32, 1 1/2 hp. I took a chance ordering it, because it didn't even give the size or the hp. It only gave the pound per minute grind capability, but it was only $289, free shipping -- I was so elated when it came! It weighs 77 pounds. My three oldest grandaughters , ages 11 and 13, shot some really nice bucks this year, using a single-shot .223. The 13 year old made over a 200 yd shot! One of the 11 year olds shot a doe being trailed by four bucks - then, fast as she could, reloaded and shot the biggest buck, a really nice 8 pt., 150 lb. deer! But to beat all, her twin, the next day, first time deciding to hunt, shot a trophy 10 pt. ! We hunt on a small acreage in East Tx....Always enjoy your content - not afraid to improvise on any project. Keep living the good life the Lord has given us! -- Bob
We had a big hand grinder that my Dad adapted a single belt sheave to, mounted it with a motor on a board, and away we went. That was our main grinder for many years.
been making summer sausage for over 25 yrs. we get all of or seasonings from coyeager spice company. . and yes hand mixing is hard on the hads but its the only way to do it. we mix ours at every 20# of deer we add 5 pound of pork
I like to use the grinder plate with the big holes first. Mix in the good seasons some pork fat if the meat is real lean. Then grind it with the plate with small holes into the casings. or just make patties.
Cable ties from the dollar store is what I've used for years to tie the end of the casings. Works great and never have had an issue even in the cooking process.
Like your videos Jeff. Why haven't I've seen any new videos of Hannah?.never got to see her home finished. You did such a a great job on that Was really looking forward to seeing her reaction when she could move in.
It’s not finished yet but he’s still working on it. Got a beautiful set of stairs built and started working on the upstairs floor in the last week or so and it’s awesome!
BTW, your lady friend has a very therapeutic voice. She would be good working with people living with CP and AS. Honestly, Jeff's gentle voice would be really good too. Just a thought...
I know I don't have to tell you nothing....but that summer sausage is good sauteed in olive oil and onion....then add your pasta sauce and bowtie pasta.....❤
Use some rubber gloves when you make big batches of sausage and you'll keep your hands from freezing, believe it or not those tiny little gloves keep your hands warm and the meat cold. Man those sausages look good!
I sent you several messages Jeff Baron about a fifth wheel I have and maybe trading for some lumber from your sawmill and I know that you are an important person and very busy and I was surprised that when sending you several messages that you would never even respond. Like I said I know that you are busy and maybe you just couldn’t work it but I would have at least expected an, “I appreciate it but that’s something that I’m not interested in or can’t make work”. No grudge’s and I think you are probably a good man and I enjoy your videos but considering the messages I thought you would at least respond if just to say no thanks?!?
Yall killing it with the content. Much appreciated! Keep doing your thing.

I like to make smoked trail bologna with pepper jack cheese. I use 10 to 20% pork shoulder mixed in.

Cable ties or zip ties work well on the end of the casing also
Interesting thanks!
Look in delicious

Jeff is rocking the cradle I see..
So ask Kathrine Zeta Jones what she thinks of that statement.
Tell me...., At WHAT age is someone capable of making their own decisions?
@@carfvallrightsreservedwith6649 Guilty of being a peedo?
@@mooseknuckle8334 really? They're both adults. Enough said.
Hey Jeff I will take one of those rolls 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
👍
what about that house for Hannah, haven't seen or heard anything for ages
have a goodun 🙂
🐶 I’m Merle Barron and I approve these sausages
Luv watching and laughing Hold On Loosely and Don’t Let Go one strand outen that parachute cord would probably be enough😂🙄 Smokin!😅
Jeff is the man and a legend keep doing it brother.
Zip ties work great to close casing
Man that looks good! If you have a shortage of storage space, i got a good freezer. Just sayin.
I like the olive oil idea. Grinding pork fat is always a pain as it gets stuck in my grinder plates.
Use water, iv been doing this for a long time. Water allows for easier mixing
Happy Holidays every one ..... Stay safe.
That'll also make for some good Christmas presents if you want to give them away
Where do you buy your tubes from?
Mr. Jeff Barron...Happy Holidays to you and your family. Thank you for the videos from both you and your daughter.

I had a St Jude ad. As someone older who has cancer the St Jude ad just knocked me out. It's a worthy cause.
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
At least electric grinder, less labor the better off you’re gonna be at the end of the day beats a hand crank like you’re talking about !!
👍🤣👍🤣👍
I know I don't have to tell you nothing....but that summer sausage is good sauteed in olive oil and onion....then add your pasta sauce and bowtie pasta.....❤
Damnit Jeff!, git yourself a vertical stuffer! Life will be SO much easier and your sausage will be BETTER! (I promise).
I could watch yall cook or make anything
You need some high temp cheese for your sausage. You can get it in cheddar, pepper jack and a couple others from LEM in Cincinnati.
She said smoked sausage. 😂
Faster to turn it
Looks Deee licious !
The cheese melted because you need to use the right kind of cheese and pork fat
Use some rubber gloves when you make big batches of sausage and you'll keep your hands from freezing, believe it or not those tiny little gloves keep your hands warm and the meat cold. Man those sausages look good!
Need high temp cheese all the cheese melted an dont grind cheese up to nothing invest in a stuffer
Minus the weight of the pan…
I can only imagine the little explosions of cheese on my tongue.
Use zip ties
Did I miss the part where Jeff got divorced and took up a young woman in her steed?
What happened to your beautiful wife ???
You divorced her ?
Use real fat , not olive oil or vegetable oil . 70% lean to 30% fat . Pork belly would be good
You stuffed for 3 hrs! Now your just bragging!

Have you ever seen Jeff reply to a comment?? I’ve watched for years. He just doesn’t seem to engage on social media.
Then maybe consider the non response as a "No thank you"!
Wasn't The world's fastest Indian speed record 201.6 mph 🤣😂😅 just a bit of history. Aussie Aussie Aussie GDAY MATE from brisbane Australia
