Shorty talks about Elite Autoworks at the 2019 Portland Roadster Show

- Shorty (Javier Ponce) was the featured celebrity at the 2019 Portland Roadster Show and we were blessed to hang out with him. In this episode we talked about his shop located in Texas called Elite Autoworks. He tells his inspiring story as a boy quitting school to get a job and help his family, then events that led to him returning and finishing school while leading to his career in the automotive industry. Those experiences carried over to a life time of working with kids.

Shorty is a smart man. Miss his antics on Iron Resurrection
Iron Resurrection started with a set cast of characters. The TV production exposed the personalities of each of the guys who were / are extremely talented and skilled people. The relationships between them all added so much to the resto mod work they performed. They laughed and played while they worked and produced some amazing rides in the end. Shorty was a prominent player and his commentary and personality helped make the show instructive and entertaining. He is missed.
MR. Ponce, your high standards never went unnoticed on a show that wasn't even about YOU. Miss you on Tv, hope to see more of your fabulous work and vision.

This young man sounds like he's got his head on right & doing things I like him sounds like a guy I'd put my money on any day.
This guy is one of the best painters on Earth! He is also one of the best people on Earth. My dad left school very young, got a job, then WW-2 started. He made a good living, but, he would have been much more productive, and happier with an education.

Shorty is the man! Really love his dedication to the craft and solid work ethic! I actually learned a lot from him watching and listening to him on the show. I would love to meet him!

Glad I found this video on Shorty, miss seeing him on Iron resurrection, he brought a lot to the show, glad he doing well and has his own business, he does top shelf work and a great person, so glad he told the story about his high school and going back to school, this is a good lesson for everyone, if you want something in this life, you got to work for it, that's life, wishing you the best shorty in the future, hope to see you one day.

Loved iron resurrection. Shorty is a badass body paint guy, a good hard worker nice to hear his story of hard work and getting to where he is now.

Hmm! Yes that's right Shorty has a point when you're working for someone else your days as an employee are numbered. I felt the same way about the industry which I worked until I was able to better my career by becoming an owner operator. 😉👍🏼💯

I wished I had the money for shorty to do my 51 fleetline
I was hoping that he would get a show . Because I found them very interesting . Is a multitalented man . He is missed. His paint jobs are rich in color . I don't think I've seen anyone else that can equal shorty . Of course I wish shorty lock . You'll do fine . He did a 46 Ford two-door . It was a custom but it wasn't stripped of chrome and all that stuff . It was a classic look could not be duplicated . It wasn't metal flake it was a rich blue . It almost looks like water . Who else can do that out no .
How damn many people works for Shorty?
I hear in the shop some guys call him Shorty and some call him Shawty.. which is it. Is one cooler than the other. Or people just don't know how to talk?
