Most royals are related to each other. For example, the late Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip was second cousins on one side of their families and third cousins on the other. But the most important factor is that in today's society you marry for love and you can't control whom you fall in love with or their background. Back in thr days marriage was mostly a political arrangement for royals and love ... that was something you might get if you were lucky
