I took the test and got a 1 out of 40 😂
The test is so strange though. Most of my answers were in the middle of the two options. You get two options, and have to pick one. Like one asks if i see myself as a trend setter and fashion influence or if i dont care about fashion. Thats so silly, i obviously am not a fad setter or influence but I like fashion and trends. But I had to pick the one that says im not interested in fads or fashion because i am in no way a fashion trend setter lol just odd stuff like that. On the other test it ranges from strongly agree to strongly disagree and one question, i dont remember word for word but basically it said i believe people can be manipulated. I selected strongly agree and that one answer got me a higher score in one section than i would have if i disagreed....but i wasnt saying i personally would manipulate people to believe something, i was saying humans as a whole, can be manipulated lol

@@Juwlz I felt the same. A lot of the questions are difficult because some could go either way but it comes down to the majority of the time. It’s normal for us to have narcissistic traits from time to time. For example, I might like to look at myself in the mirror a bit more if i did my eyeliner good one day but it’s definitely not majority of the time. I also kinda struggle with the authority/leader things. I don’t mind being under someone and taking direction, but I feel I’ve always been someone people follow and not the other way around. Idk how to say that without sounding stuck up. The friends I have had over the years have usually been influenced by me/my style/my personality, than I have of them. I’m not someone who follows others, I’ve always done my own thing. That still sounds terrible but it’s true. I scored a 7 on it.
@@Juwlz Yeah these tests aren't perfect which is why they should never be taken at face value. Everyone has different ways of perceiving things and there's too much room for middle ground like you said. I feel like its not meant to accurately assess the average population because the questions are set up in a way to bait narcissists who will almost always gravitate towards the more grandiose answers. I took the test several times with a different mindset each time. The first time I tried being thoughtful about my answers and got a 12. The second time I avoided taking any more than 5 seconds to answer a question and got a 19 so maybe in reality it's somewhere in between but who knows?

I have only watched the cut of this episode that went up for members (which may have been the same cut, I don't know) and Dr. Drew briefly mentioned that Moses' score on the NPI was 11 (or somewhere in that ballpark). Thanks for pointing this out, I agree he seemed embarrassed, put on the spot. I think it's REALLY important to emphasize what Dr. Drew said; these are strategies for life. From personal experience, these TEND to be associated with behaviour that negatively affects others, but alone really cannot be used to categorize a person as 'good' or 'bad'. Zach IS a sweetheart, and his outward behaviour and how he treats others are the real testament to his character, not a scaled questionnaire.
There's nothing to cry about. I guarantee he feels good about his result, because it sets him apart from other people.
