Man that 10 player mode was such a huge deal in the mid-90s.

And still the best battle royale game.
In order to do 10 player saturn bomberman, you need:
-A sega saturn
-A copy of saturn bomberman
- 10 controllers
-2 multitaps
And most of all...
-9 other people who actually wanna play with you
As you can see, it's VERY EASY to do 10 player saturn bomberman with your friends
Which is why it's a blessing this game supports A.I. controlled bots in 10 player multiplayer! Something a lot of modern online game could benefit from to fill out online matches. Yes we doubt very few people every did get to play this mode with ten friends, best we did was about 5 players and 5 bots.
@@RandomisedGamingCZcams Suoper Bomberman R on Switch supports up to 8 I think - I had 6 friends one year before I sold my switch., Sadly, just not the best Bomberman, but still fun enough. Could also add bots

Long time Saturn & game owner here. At first i thought it was a hoax but this has really blown my mind!! never knew of this easter egg power up & wish i took more time with the 10 player mode. You're soo right about it being difficult to see tho because i didnt have a decent TV either back then lol. After seeing the new Bomberman game releasing on switch, i still think this is the definitive & best bomberman game of all time, no other one has come close imo.
No hoax on our channel just 100% real video from real consoles as per the description. We suspect the fact that this was locked away in the 10 player mode is why so few people saw it. Used to play this mode on a 14 inch CRT TV and Bomberman was little more than a dot!
haha that must've been a struggle on that size! I still find this fascinating tho & i wonder if it was mentioned in the japanese manual of the game. No mention of it in the PAL version whatsoever, even in the Saturn magazines/gaming mags that were published at the time.
Certainly wasn't mentioned in either SSM or Saturn Power, we just discovered it via fluke one day in the ten player mode after wondering what that power up did in the grab a crane game.
My ultimate mega gosh ! I have been playing Saturn Bomberman for more than 20 years and I DIDN'T KNOW THERE WAS A BOMBER GODZILLA in 10 player mode !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I knew for the two hidden characters but not about this !!! Simply amazing !!! Really, the Saturn version of Bomberman is the more than ultimate episode to get after knowing that !!! It's such an extra bonus which makes it far more fun again !
Didn't know about the 10 player feature. Used to have this at my cousin's house and we use to play stage 5 a lot. The only stage with the the bomb launcher power up. A whole lot of fun to just fire your bombs at others
Bomber Godzilla is awesome.
saturn bomberman has one of the best features of bomberman series, the dinosaur eggs, 10-players battle, bomber godzilla, ... which made me feel like the new bomberman R is kinda flat, ya sure there's nostalgia in the classics, but they also play it too safe with none of these fun stuff for veterans

I never thought there could be such a thing as a 10 player video game
My favorite bomberman is bomberman blast on wiiware. There are 2 modes i love(don't remember the names exactly):
1. Crown mode - where person at the time of the timer with the crown wins, you can respawn when you die.
2. Coin mode - collect coins around the map, person with most coins at end of time wins, i believe you lose coins when you get hit.
3. There was another mode but i think on another wii bomberman version that i liked a lot.
Wow, didn't even know there's a hidden easter egg power-up as Godzilla to play on Big Map. This makes it even so much better. If this were remastered, I would want Bomber-Godzilla to be used as part of a mode than manually picking up a power-up in the crane minigame.
Wow that's awesome, I've owned this game since the day it came out, and played countless games but never knew about Godzilla, cool.
This is the best Bomber man game better than Playstation ports.
Technically it's PS1 Bomberman games, the term port is used to describe another version of the same game on a different platform. All the PS1 games were there own titles, but none were even a patch on Saturn Bomberman.

16 players this is fun to play. You need four saturns and 16 controllers and 4 TV and link cables to play multiplayer.

I honestly am gob-smacked. This has always been my favourite version of Bomberman, and this mode has always been my favourite mode of this game, but I still never even knew about Bomber Godzilla until today. I just never got it from the crane machine in all these years. xD
Parsec would revive this game easily in a heartbeat with 10 players and screen share.

Konami never did a randomiser mode for Bomberman, you're right it would work very well with this gameplay.
This game sounds amazing! Im disappointed I missed out on it. Seeing the Nintendo Switch trailer for Super Bomberman R got me really excited to hear about 8 player local multiplayer, maybe they'll add some of these features in the game?
Super Bomberman R looks to be a promising return to form for the series. Saturn Bomberman was a continuation of the Super series the core gameplay will always be the same, hard to say if some of the extra content in the Saturn version will be included at the same level. Maybe if some of the original team worked on it might have, it's really wait and see at the moment.

I would be playing this on saturn with other 9 people, IF I HAD ONE.
Getting the multitap and ten joypads now needed to play ain't that cheap either.
@@RandomisedGamingCZcams I mean, you're right, its hard to play this game (specially if you're finding the US or PAL versions) but there's other ways of playing this game. Might not be the most ideal I'll say, but it's still easier for me to just play Bomberman 94 on my wii, or just play saturn bomberman on emulator, have 10 controllers paired to the computer. If I would do this now, I would have 2 Gamecube controllers connected with a adapter, 2 PS5 and 2 PS4 controllers connected by Bluetooth, a Switch Pro controller connected by Bluetooth, a Xbox 360 controller connected by cable, maybe one PS3 controller by Bluetooth or a Wiimote, and either a Wired Switch pro controller or a wired PS3 controller. And yes, I do have maybe 30 controllers in total. And I think you meant Two multitaps.
There was a special ten player multitap, Hudson did in Japan for it, otherwise you do need two of the six player ones connected together. Atomic Bomber Man on PC also did 10 players, most Saturn emulators don't seems to be built to handle 10 players. Quite why Konami haven't done a modern port is a bit of a mystery with online play, as this is a slam dunk of a sale for many people.

Thanks for the tips. I had this "bonus Bomber Godzilla battle" happen once, I did not know that it was this item that caused it. Thanks! There must be a trick to always get this powerup. I guess it means that if you happen to catch this item, you only get to play it once like this. The next game it will be probably another item and it will be without the Bomber Godzilla. There must be a trick to always get this powerup.
BTW IMHO this one of the sickest multigame experience on any system.
Big fan, I organise a few 10 player battles from time to time.
Perhaps there is a game genie type code we can use to always get this mode.
EDIT: found nothing to get this everytime. Now I need some way to be able to use save states on the Saturn. Does that exist?
You could quite likely active this mode via Action Replay, but we suspect no one has actually looked into finding what a code would be. So few people are even aware of this mode hence why we did the video , so no one as of yet had done a code, so if a Action Replay wizard is reading this now might be the time to have a play around to make up the code.
As Riven recalled you can memorise the positions the power ups swap around to during the grab a crane game. The way they move isn't random, a lot time ago he was able to get a Bomber Godzilla in just about every battle as a result as you could predict where the power up would move too.

What do the other Hudson Soft IP have for special abilities? Like Yuna gets a Speed Boost at the start of each match and Manto gets something similar to the Power Glove, but I actually don't know what the other Hudson Soft IP have for abilities.
Yuna and Manto are secret characters, so they are the only 2 characters which start with extra powers.

This game with 6 or 8 people all for themselves or in teams of 2 is incredible. I must say though 10p mode does not look as fun with the static stage and super small characters. Godzilla looks cool though, never knew about it.
The arena in the 10 player mode was somewhat bland, in comparison to many of the other stages and if it wasn't for Godzilla, this mode would be very dull. It was mainly designed for tournament player, to put everyone on equal footing.

Easy enough to find there are plenty of shops that sell older video games, first port of call should be sites like Amazon and ebay.

Nothing beats multiplayer Bomberman 94 on the PC Engine. This 10 player thing kills looks and the music is bad too.

I got hit with the same thing on my Saturn Bomberman video..is it a false positive?
Hard to say for sure, it matches up with a video IOSYS did where they played Saturn Bomberman with the creator. The channel (company) does have links to Hudson Soft and they have published remixed music of various Hudson game, looks like it might be, but you would have to contact Konami who now own Hudson Soft. However this only effect multiplayer videos of Saturn Bomberman. Which suggest the YT content ID bot might be incorrectly suggesting (IOSYS) own the video.

It's a truly great game, sadly it seems Konami won't be re-releasing the game again any time soon, a version of this with 10 player online support would be awesome.
