As a South Carolina fan, I’m so thankful my team has also been able to make Michigan suffer. From The Hit in 2012 to coming back from a 19-3 deficit in 2017, which also ruined a perfect bowl record for the B1G....I love it!

Michigan St showed 11 man front and no punt returner....obvious block formation, yet Michigan still sent 2 gunners downfield to cover no one...and 2 lineman chip blocked and ran downfield as well. Yes, the punter muffed, but the offense should have given him more protection to recover....specialty team coach failure.
I'm no football expert, but your explanation makes sense. In retrospect, UM did not manage/strategize the last play well. The Spartans were well positioned to overwhelm the punter and UM defenders, jarring the ball loose so that the wily Spartys could catch it and power it across the goal line for the winning touchdown. Classic. #ThisisSparta
