    You are such a lovely friend supporting her like you have! Good luck to your friend, I hope she gets the help she deserves 💚 I have had two assessments now and both were so traumatic. The stress of it had a massive Impact on my mental and physical health. I have another looming soon and am already having panic attacks, insomnia and even more ill health at the prospect of it. I feel the whole system is a form of mental terrorism. 😞

      Rainie Daize thank you. Yes, it does seem to be mental torture. I wish you luck x

      Christine Newton Hi Christine. I've heard the ESA assessment is also notoriously tough, which doesn't help when someone is genuinely struggling. Thank you - will pass it on to my friend x

    I’ve got schizophrenia and they skipped my pip assessment as they were happy with the evidence provided. Just waiting for the final decision now, I really hope it’s a good one!

    Hi.
    I suffer with complex ptsd due to serious child sexual abuse when I was younger. I’ve just put s claim in for pip. I did try a few years ago and denied. I am doing intense therapy.
    I hope your friend is ok, sending prayers xx

    Understand completely how your friend feels with Mental Health and how the PIP claim all works, I myself have suffered with Anxiety/Panic Disorder and Depression for 12 yrs which has got worse over the yrs. The last 2 yrs have been terrible as I'm now Diagnosed with severe Agoraphobia as well. I cannot leave my house as with the Anxiety and Panic attacks are 24/7 and I cannot do anything in my home either. I had to fill in the form for pip and all the stupid questions that does not relate to what I'm suffering from and I have just lost my 1st Appeal and I have to go through the 2nd Appeal now which is even caused me more stress.
    But you are defiantly 100% spot on with this disability and how it effects people as I can say its the same for myself... my home or my bed is like a jail.. yet the pip say my day to day life is not effected, I even had to give up my job 2 yrs ago due to this.. :(

      @@ClaraSais yes its terrible to treat people in this way especially when you have a liable claim, heart goes out to everyone else who are suffering..

    Hi I applied for PIP and when I saw all the questionaires I just couldn't answer all those questionaires because most of them where repeated, n my mind couldn't take it and i got so depressed it's a torture, when i am going through so many issues. I am struggling Financially n applied another credit but, again after giving them Dr, letter note etc.... they sent me another assessment letter n another questainair to fill it in n send it off, I have to ask my friend, because I just cant go through this I live alone with my son, n he too has anxiety n depression. Please could u advice me when I go for assessment as I am terrified.

    • @ClaraSais
      @ClaraSais  Před 5 lety +3

      Filomena Rodrigues hi - I'm no expert, but do you have a friend or family support worker to go with you or to help? I would advise talking to Citizens Advice. I don't think the PIP assessment is very kind to those people who suffer like yourself with anxiety.
