Sintesi del 1° corso mascherato d'apertura del Carnevale di Viareggio 2019. La pioggia improvvisa non ha impedito il debutto dei giganti di cartapesta sui viali a mare
Sono rimasta molto colpita dal carro della balena con la plastica in bocca, una tematica così importante (l'inquinamento del mare) spiegato in un modo perfetto!!!!
Anche sotto la pioggia, lo spettacolo non è mancato. C'eravamo anche noi per fare la clip, per fortuna dopo ha smesso, Viareggio è sempre una grande emozione!
Sono di viareggio e ti posso dire che le bellezze dell Italia invidiate nel mondo sono tante, ma purtroppo siamo noi italiani che non le conosciamo e non le sappiamo valorizzare

Wonderful high culture and art here. But I don't quite fully understand what all I just seen. It's really intriguing. Would need to read in English about the float themes to better grasp what it's about. This blows away the Mardi Gras New Orleans floats like being technologically and culturally 100 years ahead.
@Yes Sir! Oh yes, we have Pride in America too in the month of June. It's GLBTQIA+ parade and drinking party. It happens where I live for one weekend, but not all that great for everywhere is walled off with fencing and police with pricey entrance fees charged so I pass on it after seeing it once. Carnival is different and doesn't usually charge entrance fees where ever it's celebrated, but also very flamboyant in nature where the fashion and costumes can be far more than seen at Pride fests. Mardi Gras is similar, but French in nature so we have that in Saint Louis and New Orleans which the Midwest and deep South used to be a part of the French empire.
@Yes Sir! Yes, Pride is about homosexuality, transgender, cross dressing, queer, and intersexed. You can throw this one hard in your unwanted Islamic refugees faces and they will not want to stay for long. You need to allow them a way out and back home if that's not a happening or they'll just get violent. Diversity does not work and each country needs a central culture and people. This is why my America does not work and won't have a happy ending and why we have so much violence and social disconnect of apathy and narcisistm going on. I don't enjoy living in my country, but can't leave since I don't have the money. I did go to Germany for a couple years while in the US Army and while I'm of German decent myself, they wouldn't except me and treated me rudely with xenophobic sentiments. this was years before the refugee crisis started up in 2015. Germany pisses me off. They could had brought on their distant cousins from America to fill the job market gap since some of us wanted to go over to work and enjoy life.

I like how the Germans and other Euorpean countries take things seriously in producing art, music, and acts on high culture streets. I always thought of the Nordic countries having the highest standard of living where worrying about basic necessities is not an issue for pays are high enough and housing on offer along with interesting things to do and engage with. Half of us Americans struggle just to feed ourselves for food is pricey, pay low, hours sporadic, and employment not stable nor guaranteed. It's shitty given the fact it's the richest country in the world. For a Western country, America has the most income and social inequality and segregation so it is not harmonious nor happy nor a united state. This doesn't make for many great parties and festivals to be enjoyed so we mostly watch TV and stay to ourselves over here. I just watch and read internet and don't have cable TV.
I am british but i live in Viareggio since i was 8 y.o The carnival has a satirical aim and all the floats u see are prepared in the CITTADELLA from March till the end of the Year, to be used in this period of the year on the weekends right before easter. They are huge mechanical floats made with paper and are divided in 3 categories ( dimensions and weight are the criteria) they can make us think about specific topic such as water pollution or having a leader with too much power. but also they can just be silly and stupid. at the end of the carnival they decide who made the best float, it's a very intresting tradition and i highly recommend it if u ever come to Italy!
Rio de Janeiro has the most sophisticated floats on the planet, but Viareggio has been doing a great job and reducing the distance to the biggest carnival in the world.
Ma le date del carnevale sembrano azzeccate perfettamente quando c'è pioggia, ma non possono vedere il meteo??? Anche se non è preciso si può dedurre se c'è pioggia,nuvolo o sole. Comunque io adoro il carnevale di Viareggio anche se a 7 km da casa mia c'è quello di Cento che comunque non è piccolo ma quello di Viareggio è UNICO, però mi sta lì il fatto che le date del carnevale di Viareggio siano sempre sfigate, non dico che al carnevale di Cento non sia mai venuta pioggia ma sicuramente meno di Viareggio (anche se il mare comunque influenzia il clima).Andrei a correre dietro a quello che le ha fatte 😠.
Ma queste corna del primo carro mi rappresenta che ! il Diavolo .... ?e i cavalli dell'apocalisse, o della morte ?sono tutti interessanti , ma il loro significato prende spunto da qualcosa di realmente spirituale , gnomi , streghe , ecc... Ma!
Bellissimo carnevale, anche se è divertente vedere che gli europei credono che la Frida Kahlo abbia qualche relazione con la Spagna! hahahaha No ragazzi! Che i costumi rossi e neri non hanno nulla a che fare con la nostra cultura messicana!
I carri sono molto grandi e ben movimentati. Noto però dei difetti che difficilmente verranno modificati. 1 non sono illuminati (vedi Acireale),2 hanno figure singole che si muovono ma non avviene nulla di sorprendente (vedi Acireale) 3 C'è tanta gente ma non esagerata (vedi Acireale). Insomma andate a vedere Acireale e capirete che quello che dico non è tanto per fare pubblicità ad Acireale.
Io da buon Carioca o sia nato e cresciuto a Rio de Janeiro fino hai 22 anni posso solo dire che si sono carini ma non c'è paragoni con il Carnevale di RIO, che è un pecato visto che i carri ci sono ci vorebbe un pò più di effetti luminosi, più persone sfilando ma con delle musiche da carnavale come a Rio.
Non sapete fare i carri al nord fanno schifo neanche si muovono e non hanno né luci e ne musica venite ad Acireale in Sicilia e poi vedete chi sono i più bravi
