In the past, such leaks often lead to "official reveals" shortly after - I hope here this happens again. I hope even more they come out with some kind of roadmap SOON. Come on, give us some kind of idea what to look forward to over the next year!
P.S.: Dwarfs and O&G would be a PERFECT match.
I think a road map by GW will put a lot of people at ese, and may get some people off the fence of the "I will wait and see" camp
From what I remember, the last rumours were predicting the next release wave to be Empire vs Greenskins. I really wasn't expecting the Dwarfs this soon. I wonder whether we're going to ginally get that plastic shield bearer kit that was ment to release all the way back in 7th.
i think it would make more sense to be dwarfs vs greenskins empire vs beastmen and elves vs chaos as those are like the usual enemies and all that bollocks
How long do you people think the next release would be? 3 months? something like in March ? I guess you are more aware and understand GWs business model

clearly the high elves should be their adversaries, no, I'm still not over The War of Vengeance!!!!
I still have my 6th edition Dwarf army from 20 years ago and I recently decided to rebase them all. I wasn't necessarily planning on getting into Old World but they look better on the larger bases anyway. Very interested to see what they'll do for them.
Personally I think the 6th ed models look much better but I imagine that they'll be releasing the 7th/8th ed plastic stuff for the Dwarfs. I'm not a fan of those skull pass models to be honest.
I have 3-6th ed dwarfs and a couple units from 8th. Wouldn’t mind a few more!

A plastic Slayer kit would be the fulfillment of a dream I’ve had for thirty years.
That was my first instinct, but then I thought it may be too similar to the fireslayers for them to consider.
@@NineInchCharge Totally agree. Plus the stuff previewed for Tomb Kings and Bretonnia doesn’t exactly indicate an intent to convert previously existing metal sculpts into new plastics.

Oooh, how exciting! Well, the Greenskins bit! Even more credence to a reprint of Battle For Skull Pass surfacing... And even though I already have all those gobbos I think I'd probably have to pick it up again.
Given the odd numbers, I wonder if we'll then see Wood Elves v Beastmen (this one's gotta be a shoe-in, right?), High Elves v Chaos and Empire V Empire (three emperor larks, with a resin character for each).

Also you are wrong on the the dwarven, it was Dwarfen for Chaos dwarfs, dwarves where the GOOD dwarfs

I’m hoping
dwarves vs goblins
Empire vs orcs
Wood elves vs brayherds
High elves vs chaos.
It would make sense to split orcs and goblins as they’ve always been a 2 in one faction and otherwise it’s 5/4 which doesn’t make sense release wise.
While digging the rest, I'm holding on to my money for the Dawi and Greenskins!
Empire is in a civil war so it can get a standalone release, there's an odd # of factions getting support anyways. dwarfs vs orcs will probably out around summer. Personally I collect Empire and would prefer to get their release sooner rather than later.
Only thing I don't like about warhammer dwarfs is the gyrocoptors

Im just hopeful that this game is successful and GW supports it. I hear way to may grumblings and complaints already. Hopefully, this is just a loud small minority. If you want this game to stay, then dont sit on the sidelines and wait to see what happens, then complain again that it failed.
This is the warhammer community… grumblings and complainings are par for the course.

Elves of whatever form could pair up with the dwarves. Empire and greenskins are too iconic to mess with.. Then again, this is GW..
that old rivalries.... dropping Elves and Dwarfs together would be cool.
The pointy ears and the stunties have millennia old grudges against one another. Would take a LOT to bring them together.

found it, until 2003 they used the words dwarfs and dwarves interchangeably, after that they stuck completely to dwarfs. there where two models gw called dwarves one was a slayer swinging a sword and one that looked like a knight @@NineInchCharge

Getting a full pdf shortly after the 20th.
Skaven aren't a part of this initial foray into The World of Legend, since this relaunch is being set across roughly 2200 - 2300'ish Imperial Calendar.
At this time, the Skaven are in the midst of the Second Civil War that lasted roughly 400yrs. During this time, there is no Council of Thirteen to hold back the 'normal' infighting and it's just pure all consuming insanity underground across the entirety of Skaven society.
As pointed out, Skaven, along with everyone else who aren't getting initial rules/faction books, will get PDF's for now.
Hopefully if The Old World does well enough, the timeline will jump around to bring back other great campaign's and thus, bring everyone back into fold, and eventually culminate everything with The Great War Against Chaos!!
(...yes, I abso-fething-lutely want a model for Asavar Kul!!)
Im in the same place with my Dark Elves. But I think if it sells we will see the other factions come out. To much money to be had for little work by GW. That all said Im starting a second army of Tomb Kings.
