Playing fast is something a lot guitar players want to do. So how do you do it? Needless to say, you need a lot of practice time, but WHAT should you practice?
In this lesson, you will learn some common blues rock "runs". You can view these as building blocks for creating your own licks and phrases. The techniques I present in this video will be very useful for guitar players who want to build speed into their solos.

I really appreciate the camera angles when you are instructing the students. And coupled with the varying speeds you've given an excellent lesson presentation! Thank You
Glad it was helpful!
Agreed, the overhead angle is much better, the front view can get confusing and often obscures which string/fret is being played.
he's one of the best around. not every player can teach. multi talent
I used to play like this all the time then I got hooked on the alternate and economy picking thing listening to Al DiMeola and I've forgotten how much fun this is! Thank You for relighting the embers.
I’m a bass player but love watching you masters of the fast lead licks for my solos , and you my good friend.. are a true master ! 😉

Glad you liked it!
good shot. Useful!!!
Thanks!
Aula muito boa
That shirt is killer!! Thanks for the lesson
Thank you for showing the fretboard from the guitarist's perspective. I don't understand why all teachers don't do this.
This is how a teaching video should be done.
Great video! You play very fast even that the action looks pretty high...
Very good seeing the fingerboard from the guitarist's point of view.
Thank you!
I just now Found your channel!!!!!! You remind me of Joe Bonamassa. You got some busy shit goin' on, All your licks sound really Good, all chained together! You Opened another door for me. 1st dude I encountered in quite a few years, that has Inspired and captivated my interest.
priceless!!
I can't quite hear you over the shirt.
Nah just kidding. Great lesson as always Maestro. Thank you.
Great Robert!
Sweet!🎸😎❤🎶
As always, thank You for the Excellent lesson Mr. Renman! What year is that magical floating Stratocaster you are playing?
It's a 1967 heavy relic from the Fender Custom Shop. It's only a couple of years old.
Great lesson Robert!! Some of those licks remind of a Joe Bonamassa style and going back a ways, Michael Schenker form the band UFO especially their song Too Hot Too Handle. Great lesson.....
Glad to hear!
:-) Jeah ...i got it .
Professor Xavier play kick ass guitar!
He does!
Gonna ask you something silly, are you using overdrive? I am a beginner so i had that doubt. Thanks for your lesson
I must know where u got that shirt please
✌❤🎸
Beautiful stuff. Are u playing with high action?
Somewhat
Awesome ! Are all the licks in the key of (Em) ?
Yes!
Great lesson! But as a lefty I find the way you've filmed your hand on the neck a tad confusing.
Hi Robert, thanks for sharing, it's very interesting, well explained for learning.

Hi Robert, great stuff!!!. If I join you're academy do you also provide printable tabs. I like to start slow & increase the speed. You're Awesome, 👍
Thanks! Yes tab is available in pdf so you can print.
@@Dolphinstreets Thank you Robert, I joined your site and looking forward to stepping up my Blue's playing. Your awesome.
Thanks so much my friend.
Using a metronome, for licks one and two, what is the BPM when it’s up to speed?
Sorry I don't recall.
Nice! I think I'm faster!
This dosen’t have anything to do with the video, but I looked you up and noticed that you where born in Umeå. So i guess i have to say, hi from Umeå
Hej du! Jag hoppas åka hem till Umeå i år!
@@Dolphinstreets 👍🏻, det hade varit kul att träffas någon gång här i stan!
Signa gärna upp på min email lista på min webbsajt så får du reda på när jag är i stan.
juicy.
Goes without saying no matter how fast you are, if you ain't got the mojo it is just fast and meh.
I really wish you wouldn’t aim the camera from that angle. I understand why you do it but frustrating for a lefty

No lo haces igulal, despacio, que cuando lo haces rápido.
Is that guitar for real or is it bought distressed?
It came that way. Heavy relic.
That's a bit of legato.
Great Lesson but you are in bad need of a new guitar (that old beat-up guitar looks terrible)
Haha, I love it! 😁
Bro this is precisely what I was looking for😊
Glad I could help
Fast blues.i think not.that is rock not blues.Have you ever seen an 80 yr old blues guitarist play fast.
I've been playing as long as you have and have never heard BB or any other blues guitarist,I said blues not Joe's blues or showhands blues but pure blues play that. You're teaching rock and you need to respect the Blues, cause that ain't it
Hmmm...never heard of Jimi Hendrix or StevieRay Vaughan? Don’t be so closed minded.
leonard he is not telling you what to play
clip your nails dude
I Really wanted to watch this video ... But 4 Adds In the beginning and then another 3 Adds in the actual Video , Totally Anoying .... I won't be subscribing or watching anymore of your Advertising infested videos , Such a pity Because you actually have so much to offer.
I'm sorry but that cheezy thin tone is terrible!!!
Blues is deaddd music for olllllddd ppl...
Sure are a lot of new young players doing blues though. You’re just not paying attention.
