Since 1887, the Italian American community has been celebrating their faith, culture, and family traditions on the streets of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Each July, the streets are filled with revelers from near and far to take part in a centuries old tradition known as the Dancing of the Giglio.
For 12 days, the streets surrounding the Shrine Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel are transformed into a vibrant festival, with food vendors, rides, games, and daily entertainment.

The best time in the summer is the Feast 🎉 that week is just a catch up of old friends, school mates from back in the day, seeing everyone’s kids, grandkids etc the food of course is always a plus. It’s a good time all around

If you have to. Who would force you to try a ride? The gravity wheel doesn’t look bad. The boat ride is simple. Do it before you fill your stomach.
I get motion sickness so can’t do the boat and went on Ferris wheel today. To me it’s scary but most people probably not

Tacos, anything Mexican food wise has been at the feast for years. Nothing new.

The scapular that went into Diocese of Brooklyn; Deanery number-no.# 1 to a parishioners of Our Lady of Mount Carmel -parish community from the merged "Our Lady of Mount Carmel shrine and church was a little problematic and flimsy!
