  • There's two real world uses of the word "cheap"; one is about value for money, the other is about accuracy and quality of manufacturing.
In this video I fond out which version of "cheap" the Policar falls under

Hello Dave, a nice presentation of this polycar.
They all look great in there own with the different colours and no livery on it.
    Greetings, Thomas

Nice work Dave👍🏻. I would imagine that the quality control tolerances are not as tight for low budget slot cars. However, they all were competitive with each other which always means a fair race. Yes, with any light abrasive product to grind gears in will make the cars more quiet and hence quicker as less energy wasted making noise.

Good comparison video of these 4 cars with colour being the only obvious difference. I guess you could take one car and start swapping out parts from each other but that would be a lot of work for a basic car. Thanks for showing us the difference in each 👍

top coat polish with plastic pinions, maybe some g3 or t-cut if it's really bad... metal pinions t-cut for normal and the fine end of the valve lapping paste is it's bad :) Never be tempted with the coarse valve paste

A great video once again Dave. With all these 'candy' paint jobs you've become 'The Candy Man' for the day. I like the Candy Cherry red. Go on, you know you want to? 😀

I have these cars and I love them but I always wondered why they bother to paint them. I am surprised they don't just mold them in different color plastic.
