Just wanted to say thanks a lot for making these videos. You're right, there is a lack of information out there on things like specific packages and what exactly they entail, or why you might or might not want them. You've helped me tremendously already in narrowing down exactly what it is I'm looking for, and I'm sure it will save me some money too when it comes time to purchase. Cheers.
That is cool. I bought my extra warranty. It stated if no used you could get a full refund at the end. I didn’t receive a refund. I found out I need to file the paperwork like 3 months before it ended to receive a refund not after.
It’s true and agree what your saying the only down side is they charge you interest on that warranty also. So if warranty is 3,000 that’s give or take 60 dollars more on your monthly payment. Of course if you wreck or trade it in the value of that warranty varies on miles and time. No arguing just from my experience of owning a new truck every year and learning more and more from all this. I been thru 6 brand new trucks for the past year and only thing I learn was worth getting was GAP and that’s it. Not saying your wrong I agree on warranty if you plan to keep it stock but if your impatient like me and will plan to delete the truck and all as soon as warranty is out then not worth it. Their is ups and down, like the oil packages the ups if it’s for the long run think of the transmission flush they will do and the other few big charges it would cost on maintenance. Something small to look into but love your videos man all of them on point
+David Diaz I agree and this was by no means a recommendation to get the extended warranty. I didn't the second time around and do not regret it. GAP is the only option that I support 100%. Glad to have you here and thank you for posting
I wouldn't beat myself up too much about your decision making process! Your specific situation was able to met certain criteria. However, it goes without saying that the vast majority of extended warrenty purchases are a waste of money for the ratio of money paid upfront V. the amount/hassle of covering said "issues" that may arise from unforeseen events. That fact that you did receive financial adjustment is probably a exception to the laws of averages, but still, HELL YA!
I bought my 2017 ram and purchased the extended warranty. Within 30 days i cancelled it. I received the full amount. Refunded to the loan. They just subtracted from the loan. So less pay out period. Hope this is helpful.
Most Ram service departments in Puget Sound area suck. My 13 Ram QC with 40k miles, in start of Dec threw three codes, locked in 4 in limp mode, couldn't even get in to be seen until Jan, they tell me cel has to be currently illuminated or not much they can do. I called Ram, 2 dealers, etc no help, now with 30 days left on powertrain warranty I found Ram service dept that helped me how it should be. Trucks getting new shift solenoid and broken bolt on exhaust manifold. They pulled 7 shift solenoid codes in past month off the pcm and about 10 times my truck stuck in 4th with no cel at all. Now I'm wondering, should I get a extended warranty.... Hmmm
Another issue, not sure if is issue, but what is normal voltage seen while normal driving and idle. I ran a scanner on truck and recorded for 3 days and mine 99% of time is 14.8-14.9 volts and random seen 15.0-15.2 volts. Service dept said was normal, one service guy told me he has same truck and his shows 16 volts most of time, I told him maybe his voltage regulator in pcm is bad.
yeah it got here last week and I ordered it in September I think. maybe it just felt like forever. I called and it went out the next day so maybe that made the difference.
+ Erik B. + Chris Stepp. From Soup To Nutz in today's newspaper: "Royboy, I was wondering .....Do transformers get life insurance or car insurance? Royboy: "I think they just get a warranty." Christian...are you and your little gnome friend in cohoots with the comics syndicate? ! Cant make up that kind of timing...comic timing. All sounds a bit sketchy.....
Ahhh......little did you know that my family is Cajun. Although I was born and raised in Texas. I didn't recognize my cuz Jayce because of his slight stature in relationship to those honking Ram front seats. Perhaps he needs some facetime on your next video? Did you know his height challenge is due to a strange childhood mallardy?
Has anyone used chryslerwarrantydirect.com? Is this actually through Chrysler or a 3rd party? And Is it really cheaper than going through the dealer for extended warranty IF it is actually through Chrysler? Thanks.

+blake dymond oh f***
Hey I was wondering what does the tow/haul button actually do?
+Jacob Schoenbeck Long story short it makes your shifts more aggressive. Down is probably more important. Which engine do you have?
PNWreckage oh lol I'm only 16 so I don't have a vehicle yet but I will be getting my dads 2005 ram 1500 with the 5.7 hemi
+Jacob Schoenbeck awesome man, congrats. I believe it will also generally try to keep the engine at a higher rpm than it would without tow/haul mode.
a good zipper offers the best gap insurance
+Orren G and on that note EFF zippers. Sometimes.

That's interesting. Does your dash gauge/screen show any spikes?
Sounds like it might be a good plan in this case. Sorry man that really sucks
PNWreckage dash doesn't show spikes but my voltage using a obd2 always sits at 14.8-15.1
Interesting.. damn
Nice gnome.
