Loved the reaction and can’t wait to see you react to more of Ren. Heretic, Ready for You, Hold On are great tracks that he made during his illness. Losing It, The Hunger and Down on the Beat are more fun ones.
He was misdiagnosed with M.E. and Bipolar disorder, but turned out he had Lyme's disease.
I don’t think M.E. was a misdiagnosis exactly. It’s just that it was only one of the many symptoms of Lyme disease and not the main illness.
The Lyme disease that Ren got from a tick bite over a 7 year period infected his brain this organs and muscles. Massive pain and depression and anxiety and finally after years of torment psychosis with audio and visual hallucinations. He is still having treatment.
He still deals with many issues of autoimmunity and brain damage caused by the Lyme bacteria goung so long untreated. He developed MCAS, which is makes him allergic to 95% of foods. He has eaten the same 7 foods every meal for years. Also has POTS. He has been in special treatment for more than a year ..better but not cured.
He promised the chronic illness community that idhe ever got out of it, he woyld shine light.
Ren does all the production and mixing himself here. Bought rights to use original 1937 Vera Hall sample to use Troyble So Hard, which has great meaning for him.
A stem cell doctor found him and gave him a 25,000 stem cell treatment free, which brought him back.
Rwn has 8 videos called Chapters of him telling his story in great detail if you want to see that. Don't need to react to rhem.
Ren suffered years of undiagnosed Lyme disease. He still has symptoms due to autoimmunity that developed as a consequence of treatment, although he clearly is able to function now. Thanks for your good reaction. I like when people have something to say.
He had lymes disease from getting bitten by a tick and was miss diagnosed for years which meds etc messed his body and mind up even more and a stemcell dr got hold of him and funded the 25k himself to help ren and now he's in Canada having treatment for all the years he's suffered!

I refuse to watch mainstream news anymore. once you learn Rena integrity, and they gave no public apology, I refuse to take anything they have to say period.
Ren is a beautiful soul. intelligent, kind funny and just wants to do the right thing.
the deeper you dive you will see how authentic he is. down to earth and someone to aspire to.
dive deep he is worth it.
be prepared it is a ride through the dark AND THE LIGHT. no emotion off limits. he has opened himself up in a way that I don't think I've truly seen before in my 53 years.
his fans are loyal because he is brutally honest and has earned our trust.
he says what he means and means what he says and follows through.
all while still in treatment, to this very day.
we need new adjectives, most are not good enough for this man.

Thank you for reacting to Ren! His rabbit hole is a deep one, not limited on any one genre of music, and worth exploring. Although if you like more of the old school traditional hip hop I recommend his Nas retake, Power, Genesis, and What You Want (for an old Beastie Boys feel).

Fantastic reaction! Truly enjoyd it. May I suggest...DON'T SLEEP on Ren's older music. There are some TRUE GEMS in his catalog depending on your taste I suppose. If its MESSAGES and LYRICS that you're into (as well as cool ass beats produced almost exclusively by Ren) and INFLUENCES FROM THE 90'S then I'm positive you'll LOVE much if not MOST of what he's put out. Especially when one understands the context. He's pretty fkn dope in my view. His fan base is WIDE. You cannot put him in a GENRE. He creates music with a universal language THAT SO MANY RELATE TO.
