The mirroring super clever. Making this accessible to righties and lefties
Now that's the real magic
Ikr
As a lefty I'm always super greatfull to people who do that
@@valovanonym I think this move is ambidextrous of sorts. I'm a righty but I'm not sure which hand I'll learn this with. With my left I can pull the bottom card super clean and quiet and get it up top in an instant, but then struggle to get my knuckle to square it up. With my right, I'm awkward getting the card out, it makes a big ole click and my hand looks stupid, but then I can quickly and cleanly square it with my knuckle. So I've got this move half mastered with each hand 😂
Sure is! Some tricks I like doing with my other hand (don't know why). It is a "feeling" I get when I hold the deck and start the trick. It is not related to my dealers grip or anything - other tricks work better for me on my other hand. More mirror videos please! 😉
agreed
this glitch was patched in the 2019 update
LOL
😂😂😂😂😂😂
true lol
Lmao!🤣
What about the 2020 update tho? I think they patched it back in...
I love when i finally learn how a trick is done only to realize there's no way i can do it anyway lol
Exactly the same problem I have but the only tricks that work for me are self working tricks
2020......
Yeah I can’t get my fingers to work that smoothly at all. It’s like there’s not enough room to manipulate the cards
sleight of hand is truly magical
U can do it..u just gotta practice it...alot..and condition your hand
everytime i clip the bottom card
All the other card: aight imma headout
Lift your middle finger up and steal the card gently. Doing this move softly also eliminates the sound
it is so much meow
This is sooo difficult to master, yet you make it look so easy!
Easier said than done.
I need way more practice to make it look clean.
You're amazing
Your hands are machines. You would be breaking the code if anyone could actually do your moves! Crazy hand muscles, respect.
Haha thanks man, great reading your comment!
Did the Russian Magic Mafia ever try to cut your hands off for exposing top secret information?
NELSON X .
Clip ssslslsllslhift
I kid you not this looks rediculously clean!
Yeah, redicuolously clean.
I have been practicing the clipshift for about 2 weeks now and almost got it silent. Not quite but almost. I find I can cover the sound with talking because it is rather quiet. So a bit of banter and the card is to the top. Love this move :D
TQ 2 TheRussianGenius
. The impossible made possible.
i've been wanted to learn this for a long time..thank you for making this
This move is so crazy! I think you need to practice this in 3 steps, and possibly in reverse. I'd first get the card to where you need it when you go to square it up, then work back from there so your finger placement is right. Everyone's ability is different and you have to change what he's doing based on how it works for your hand.
What a holy difficult technique.. my hands..
Thank you for your teaching
I was trying to learn this since last three days and this notification popped up! ty the Russian genius
one of the best moves actually!! Many credits to the original creator of the trick/control
I have mastered this technique. It took 2 months of constant practice. My hand was cramped and hurt a lot but now it's second nature. I purchased the tutorial from the original creator and used that in addition to this video to learn it. If you want to learn it, you can. If you do, you have an amazing sleight that can be used for any number of effects.
Hey bro, how do they get the card from the middle of the deck to the bottom, I've tried rediduculasly hard to find a vid explaining it but I can't
Yay, new video! Finally
Just practicing this abput 50 minutes and already know the basic, now its matter on my slight of hand! thx TheRussianGenius! :)
INCREDIBLY CLEAN!!!!! Thanks.
Man this is insanely difficult wtf... I'll never be able to do thay
use half a deck to practise then use more cards when u start to get it down
MrNo Nayme yo this is easy it just took me bout 10000000000000 years just to master it
Very cool move in card magic, so many uses for just one move
spent about a month learning this trick, so worth it !
ur so slick with card controls man is there ANY MOVE that you cant do perfectly? Jeez Man U must practice 24/7 amazing... everytime I see on one of your videos in my search results or on my feed i always make sure to watch it because I know for a fact you know what ur talking about and it’s going to be a great tutorial. Thank u for your vids bro I’ve learned a lot from you
Increíble !!! Amazing!! Congratulations Bro!! 💪👊👍
ok. this was the best trick ever. You just dissapeared with my king of spades from my deck, i'm looking for it since the beggining of this video (20 min) it was amazing but I want it back!!!
You are a genius 👍
Crazy ! Even knowing the trick, it is done so perfectly, so fast, that I dont believe my eyes ☺
Praciticing this for weeks now and i have no clue how u perform it so smooth/clean.
Awesome, great performance.
Disclaimer: I'll describe how I do the clip shift, without a frame of reference; I created the handling from scratch a couple of years ago, so I have no idea how Nelson teaches it.
1. Grab the deck with the dominant hand (not the one you usually grip the cards when handling them), with the following finger positioning:
- Thumb diagonally at the bottom of the pack, near the center and with the first phalanx contacting the cards.
- Index finger resting at the side of the deck, with the first phalanx at the edge of the cards, curling to the back side.
- Pinky, Ring and Middle fingers on top of the pack, all first phalanxes resting at the edge of the cards, curling to the back side.
2. Slide the card on the back of the pack with your Pinky and Ring fingers, using the Middle finger as a pivot point, towards your dominant side, until it pivots around the far edge of the deck.
3. VERY IMPORTANT: To avoid any sounds, as soon as the card clears the edge and begins to turn towards the side of the deck, reposition the Pinky finger to the side of the card, and clip it between the Pinky and Ring fingers. The card is now securely held between the two fingers, at an angle away from the rest of the deck.
4. Move the Index finger from the side of the deck, curling it to rest on the face of the card at the top.
5. Apply pressure at the following points:
- Index finger pushes the face of the deck forward, creating a slight bend.
- Thumb pushes the bottom of the deck upwards.
- Pinky finger pushes towards the deck, sliding the card in place, as it clears the entire packet that is in motion with the movement of the Index and Thumb fingers.
6. The card should now slide underneath the Index finger, regardless of how small your hands are.
7. Go wild with whichever motion you want to cover the squaring action. The hard part is over.
U are great bro, thanks!
I threw my cards after watching this
Mine are close to do doing that!
everyone did
Try smaller deck
It's hard to replace the card on top squarely
@@Enablingmonster
Lol....
From Barbie collection ,
I can't find cards small enough ..
Lol😎👍
Awsome, and awsome tutorial
i like your magic :D tnx to your magic :D I'm so happy :D
The amount of dexterity needed for magic is unreal
Might be easier to just start practicing real magic
i was aspiring to do magic tricks but then it feels lime im performing with seizures lmao
So u dont know about cardistry?
I used to play with this move but the funny thing is I didn't realise clip shift uses the same exact move. I thought it's done by moving the top card to the bottom of the deck. Thank you very much for the explanation.
Thnks for the great sharing master🙏
cool trick and thank you so much
It is level extra large hard!!!!! You must be very skilled to do it!!! Cheers mate!!!
I can't even do a proper double lift wtf am I doing here
Same
it's been 8 months, any update?
also same, I bought my first deck of cards two days ago and I can't even bridge shuffle properly
ahhahaha same
@@tsuryu eyy so we started learning card stuff at the same time! How's your progression?
@Jo George So far so good, only been doing the basics and some work, some don't :D
I think my "skill" list is like: doublelift, card spring, fake swivel cut and some other small things but always looking for tricks without gimmicks that are really visual to surprise friend with haha, any recommendations?
I've been studying your tutorials for a long time now. Love them thank you for them. However, I've not got them down yet! Lol so frustrated
so much work and specific motricity
Thanks for the mirroring it really helps
could you post a link to the tutorial for the control to the bottom you used? live your vids mate
Thank you for living my videos, appreciate it. The control to the bottom will be added to therussiangenius.com website in a streamable bundle with 20-40 other passes. You can register an account if you'd like to be notified, but otherwise, I'll also add the trailer to CZcams. Sign up here if interested: bit.ly/jointrg
jason alaxander you could catch a break and put your pinkie under your card and use a classic pass
@@juliantan1321 in this case the top card did not change.
That's absolutely amazing card trick
很感谢,你重新击起了我学魔术的梦想
Great trick 👍
you are a freaking genius , thankz for all!!!
It's kinda interesting because I think I tried to do this move about 15 years ago but as i was unable to do it without making some kind of noise I put it aside but there is some addition here that I didn't thought about that make it happen. Going to try it again
Wow this move is sick!
amazing. I know how to do the reverse where you flip it to the bottom but not the bottom back up. That is awesome and will tie well with my performance BUT I have had several occasions where the spectator was more impressed when I asked them if they would want to see the card on the top or bottom and they usually choose bottom so me moving it back to the top wouldnt be as impressive to them I guess because they expect it to somehow already be on top. YET I WILL LEARN THIS! Very hard it looks like but I can do this. I dont need to pay someone, you showed enough of it to learn it. TY
I had done it. Thanks your video.
Great! Amazing!
From Indonesia.
Thanks for the tutorial. New supporter here
I will learn this. Thank you
Хорошо по английски говоришь, Русский Гений.) Техники мне очень нравятся - показываешь все очень наглядно и понятно
Dude, you rock!
Here is a fun application of clip shift change.
1. A card is selected and controled on top of the deck ( I use turn over pass)
2. Put the cards on the box except of the selected card which is out of the box.
3. Do the clip change holding the box with the rest of the cards inside.
4. The card appears over the box.
Hey Russian genius. Got to hand it to you I love you tutorials and you don't do a lot of talking you do more showing. And that's what a tutorial should be less talk more showing or more showing while your talking makes it even more interesting thank you for the tutorials
Great trick bro
i've been practicing this for months, still can't do it.
been doing that for years and barely able to show it live ;)
i need one night training !
Find a smoother deck, or a smaller deck of cards and practice with those. It could be the size of your hands, but our bodies are different, so not everyone is meant to copy each other directly. I very skinny, and my fingers have gaps between if I close my hand, so I never perform palming type magic tricks. Readjust what you do, but don't worry if you can't perform certain tricks, keep practicing other things so you always learn new things, and you'll still grow. :)
its possible I got it in a month fluidly, there are harder moves
It isnt that hard
So good video
Good tutorial
Very nice video
This'd be a nice colour changing deck 👌
I like your magic tricks
You are the best with kards very good magic trick
I'm successful with it after nearly 2 months of practice. Thanks a lot Sir.
"Sucessful" is a vague term. Can I do it? Yes. Can I sneak it past my 8 year old daughter? No.
Question: most of your videos show the move from this angle (the magician’s POV) and I’m always wondering how the move looks from other angles.
Continue 😍♥️♥️
Good card trick man respect
Fuck off. Not his
I'm happy for you success
To call you a card magician would be an understatement, you re more than that.
Wow. its great nice
Красавчик ! Спасибо за оьучение.
Soo super
In my opinion, you have the best straddle pass so far out of all the youtubers cuz you have the least amount of movements.
Awesome!!
Amazing! What control do you use to get the card from the middle of the deck to the top (like at 29 seconds in)? What is it called and do you have a tutorial for it???
This shit is way too hard
literaly what i said im like this shit hard as hell trying tod o this
It takes a few weeks of practice. Like learning the guitar or to type on a keyboard without looking. Muscle memory etc. Its amazing what you can learn to do with a lot of practice.
guitar is the best example. at the beginning you think you can not reach that fret in a chord and in 2 weeks it just happens.
though very shitty, but after 2 days of practice, i was able to do this move, so hold on! :)
Bojidar Georgiev lol
I feel like you need to have strong fingers for this because my pointer finger can't even push hard enough to bend the cards :(
Even with the explanation I still find it to be magical.
amazing!!!
Nice I like it 👍
I have no clue how to reach that card with knuckle of my index finger, card is far away...
Same! Like really im losing my motivation to this shit
Been practicing it for 20 months now, still struggle with that last part
Actually I was able to do it after one month with plastic cards, with paper it's way harder somehow
I just can’t square up the cards at the end, I just end up pushing over the top card and flashing it.
Exactly, my card is stuck to the pinky finger and idk how to pin it with my index
took a few minutes but i got it now thx man
Nice video editing. Ain't gonna fool me.
amazing bro
Nice! Thanks! TheRussianGenius
The coolest Russian man in the world !
You are great.
could you teach the control you used that was pretty amazing
My procedure for every Russian Genius video:
Step 1 --- observe performance
Step 2 --- get encouraged by simplicity
Step 3 --- go get cards
Step 4 --- realize the "simplicity" was just an illusion 🥺
you are very fluid!
Very cool
Wow, this is really hard man! Wish i could do it as you :-/
Nice tutorial as always but i have that one problem in this move. When a card is pulled from the bottom and you should take it with index finger I cant reach the card or get it near enough with other fingers. So if someone have had this same problem could you give me some advise?
WOW you're good !!!
Wow wow wow nice move 👌👍 👌👍
mirror image is back.. thanks!!!!
