I'm a huge BVB fan and I believe I know why his voice is off. Around this time and in 2014, Andy had lots of problems and drank and smoked so much. So that explains it. And it's weird. Some shows they kill it, some they don't. They all have true talent. And I'm really excited for their new album because Andys voice is way better, he is hitting notes he couldn't have done before, and it's supposedly going to be a "fan favorite"
Also some people they know passed away, they where really close to them. So of course this will be hard on them. Okay carry on 😂😂
One more thing. Andy also likes it when the crowd sings. Or joins in. So that's a small reason why he doesn't sing some parts.

I, for one, actually really like BVB but this doesn't sound nearly as clean as the studio version. By which I mean, something sounds off with Andy's voice. Like he's losing his voice or something. The rest of the band is killing it though
thats normal man, most singers use some reverb and chorus on the studio so it sounds more clean and overall better, as long as he doesn't scream and push his voice to the limit too much he wont loose it until hes really old.
His voice is slightly rusty from smoking as well ;-;

This was in Quadcomm Stadium last summer, I wanted to be there but because military training around that time, I couldn't go (the downside to be in the military, always on the go, schedule can change really really quick). Andy sounds different live.

Well, he has said that he doesn't smoke as much anymore. Plus, his voice is just naturally really low and gravelly. But, it varies. Some days his voice is just hella raspy. I do think the screaming and the smoking played a part in that though.

I can assure you that he doesn't use auto-tune. T-Pain uses auto-tune. Saw these guys back before the smoking started or at least before it killed his voice. I'm not going to say that they were much better, since they've improved musically over the years and because that was before CC joined the band. I really hope that this isn't the first you've heard of the wonders of a recording studio. If so, you've got a whole world of upsetting concerts in your future. Like Beartooth, great in studio, because Caleb is probably one of the most talented musicians in the alternative scene. Outside of studio, they aren't the greatest and the backing vocals are dreadful. Does that mean you should avoid going to concerts? Hell no.
This was also a terrible performance. There are much better ones. I actually usually prefer his live vocals to his studio ones. . Although, I must say the screaming was on point.
