A quick trip to Savaii for a couple of family events. The trip on the ferry was affected by the weather but was still enjoyable. #samoa #polytube #apia
SSC do such a great job with the ferries. I haven't travelled to Savaii in 20 years but I remember even back then the ride was comfortable on the Lady Samoa II. Now they have an even bigger Lady Samoa III and this MV Fasefulu which looks just as comfortable for a smaller vessel. I can't wait to return to Samoa and travel the big island again when borders open up.
Yes, SSC do an amazing job with the limted resources they have. The tickets are very cheap considering the price of fuel these days. Thanks for watching and please support us by subscribing and liking.
Awoia faafetai lava for the video I haven't gone back to Samoa for a long time and I am from Savaii. It brought back so many memories and a bit homesick now 😢
Yes, Savaii is still beautiful. Sad you havent been back in awhile but I hope these videos bring back good memories. Thanks for watching and please support us by subscribing and liking.
I really enjoyed watching this video. Very manai'a tele nice. I was born in this Beautiful Island of Savaii,.and went to Auckland NZ for schooling,.and I will never forget my TOFI from GOD, o Lo'u Atunuu pele o Samoa i Sisifo ma Savaii.
Very nice, I m Samoan born raised in nz auck now living in Aust melb 37 yrs nd haven't been to samoa since 27yrs. Hope to come visit nd visit savaii looks Beautiful none of the departures in the ferry b4. Very nice nd fresh air in our precious Island really miss our lovely homeland. One day will come visit Lol to our Samoan people nd Beautiful land. 🙏🙏GB frm Aust melb 💒🌺🌺
I traveled the express once, good but the engine smell so strong made me morning sickness, anyway thanks for your video makes me wanna go back to visit my beautiful island 🏝 of savaii, ❤️
I really, really enjoyed this video! It was like a documentary for those of us that have never been there or rode the fairy between islands. Loved reading all your comments at the bottom, that made the video very enjoyable. Near the beginning, when the people got wet, it was nice that they just laughed it off and didn't get mad or yell! The ocean looked not too rough this day....my wife, when she lived there for a while with her grandparents, had to ride the boats a lot from one island to the other. She tells us a story of one time the sea was so rough that it scared her to death....and until this day, she refuses to get on any type of boat or ship!🤣 If we get to come there in a couple of years, do they also have rental cars when you off-load from the ferry? Or, do you only have the option of taxi or bus? I chuckled to myself at the end when I saw the food vendors when you got off selling Bongo's! I just drove like 30 miles today because my wife was craving some.🤗 God Bless family, that you for such an informational video!💞🙏
Thanks for your support. Big fans of your channel, so good to see how other Samoans live in different parts of the world. There are car rental companies located in town, about a 5-10 minute walk from the wharf but are usually fully booked during peak season. Faafetai lava le lagolago ma le maimoa mai. Alofa atu from Samoa
Excellent footage, malo lava. Last time I caught the Lady Samoa III was back in 2018 when I visited my late father's grave at Salailua Village, and my late mother's village of Asau.
Thanks for the lovely video and the update of my beloved birth place. I missed it so much. I left Fagamalo when I was just a toddler around 6 years old. Educated in American Samoa..entered the United States military and settled in America and now I live in Cali Colombia South America. Love the video. Thank you so much. Need more videos like this...Great job...God bless.....

Wow the wharf changed immensely and the carpark has expanded. Great memories where we used to fish and swim/dive at the wharf where the ferry is moored at salelologa when visiting our cousins in Savai'i during the xmas and school holidays (wharf wasn't fenced off back then and not many locals so it was very safe and secure).
Thank you for sharing. I have never been to Samoa but one of my sons had travelled with my husband and they went to Savaii by ferry (son's first time and was ill) but thoroughly enjoyed his holiday with Dad. They even visited my Grandmother's family in Asau ❤as they drove over the whole island.
I have been to Savaii with my Dad for quite a long time ago since travel by a boat for the first time is my favorite memory. I wish that I would like to go back again someday. ❤️
Wonderful video. Did not get to do it on my visit 5 years ago....so would love to visit again and do this. Your videos are brilliant in showing off your special Island home. Thanks.
Where can you or how much time would you need to pre book for a vehicle to go on the boat to savaii? Is there a place or shop in apia to do that? So i can plan ahead 😂

Is there anyone from Samoan Citizens who could help me to find my Family Ancestors who are from Upolu Village, The Historical Content of Gilbertese Mythology The universal belief of the modern Gilbertese race is that its forefathers came from Samoa: they grew up on the branches of the ancestral Tree in Upolu, and lived in the land until the Tree was broken. When that catastrophe came upon them, they scattered over the ocean to populate other islands. The adventures and the canoe names of a few who reached the Gilbert Islands have been preserved. The Samoan tradition is set out clearly in their myths and legends-a vast mass of material indicating that Samoa was the last home of the race before it reached the Gilbert Islands and that Samoa, and Samoa alone, was the ancestral land of the race.
