    I used to think some of these "restoration" videos were faked until a few months ago I bought a barn find 1980 PUCH Magnum. Yes Virginia they really do look like that after sitting unused for 20 plus years in an unheated shed. Almost done restoring mine, and it looks pretty good if I do say so myself. Thanks to you for saving this one.

      Thank you very much! I love PUCH mopeds. Especially Magnum is one of my most favourite model. Last year I found PUCH Maxi at local junkyard and bought it for only 10€! And I tell you that it was in better shape than these two Jawa Babetta mopeds on video, so like you said, it's depends on where it was stored for years... It's hard to get these classic old mopeds in Virginia? But some of these restoration videos on CZcams are faked and staged so they gets more views. And that's very sad from my point of view... I wish you all the best with your restoration and thanks for commenting. 🙂

    ako si povolil tie stifty valca? mne povolit nejdu lebo nejaky majster predomnou ich tam asi prilepil a zlomit ich nechcem. inak velmi pekna praca.

    • @ZecoRestoration
      @ZecoRestoration  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Ďakujem veľmi pekne za komentár. 🙂 Pokiaľ si dobre spomínam tak tieto štifty mi išli povoliť bez násilia, iba cez kontra maticu. Ale ak máš problém ako píšeš tak by som určite blok motora nahrial aby sa trošku roztiahol, a potom ti štift pôjde povoliť, či už cez matice, alebo ak sa obávaš zalomenia tak ho po nahriatí chytiť zaisťovacími kliešťami čo najbližšie k bloku, a rozhýbať ho do jednej, do druhej strany a povoliť, kľudne aj streknúť nejaký redší olej/uvoľňovač ktorý sa dobre vzlína... A určite povolí.

    Hey man great video, just got 2 Jawa 210s I’m looking to renovate, where did you get your parts from and was it 300 euros for parts for both bikes?

    • @ZecoRestoration
      @ZecoRestoration  Před rokem

      Hello, almost all the parts I got from Motozolzso.sk and from part store here in my town. Yes, 300€ in parts was for both of these. But it’s not everything… Restoration of one of these without labor was I think around 500-550€ with everything you can see in all the videos I have on my channel. 🙂

    Hello, how did you manage to pull off the flywheel? I couldn't take it off.

    • @ZecoRestoration
      @ZecoRestoration  Před rokem

      Hello, to remove one of the flywheel you need special puller to extract it. Then the another one you just simply pull off.

    20:40 pin safety devices are always set in position 12 or 6. In your case, they can fall out under the influence of the reciprocating work of the piston.

    bohate by stačilo len papierové tesnenie.. Rozeta, páčky, aj niektoré ostatné diely stačilo len vyleštiť predsa chrom je chrom

    • @ZecoRestoration
      @ZecoRestoration  Před rokem +2

      S prvou častou Vášho komentáru plne súhlasím, na tento motor vo videu by stačilo použiť iba papier, vo väčšine prípadov to aj tak robím. No pri týchto motoroch som sa rozhodol použiť aj silikón. Uškodiť nemôže ničomu, maximálne pomôže, a tento ProSeal silikón mám fakt rád keďže je veľmi jemný a dá sa nanášať v tenučkých vrstvičkách. Keďže jeden z motorov nemal dosadacie plochy úplne v poriadku od rozoberania v minulosti… A motory nie sú moje tak aby majiteľ nemal nečakané prekvapenie v podobe netesnosti. Ale s druhou častou Vášho komentáru určite nesúhlasím, rozeta, páčky a ďalšie diely nikdy chrómové neboli. Originálne boli pozinkované. A leštenie by ničomu nepomohlo, keďže bol zinok zožraný a vyhrdzavený tak by ostal iba holý kov. Preto som dal všetky zinkové diely na zinok…
      Ale ďakujem veľmi pekne za komentár a prajem šťastný Nový rok! 😊

    Very good job, again. I have one big problem, when i remowed the belt from cuplung i have problem by remoweing the big wheel where the belt is staying. In al the Videos i saw on youtube that wheel is comming out very easy, only by pulling it out with hand. What should i do? Thanks

    • @ZecoRestoration
      @ZecoRestoration  Před rokem

      Thank you very much for the support! 🙂 Sorry, I don't know if I understand you correctly. You have problem with removing the wheel from the clutch, it is that rear wheel that I have on video at 23:10? Or front wheel? For removing front wheel you need to have special puller (extractor). For rear wheel you don't need anything, it's not holding anything. Just like you said pulling it out with your hands. I've never encountered that it wouldn't came out... If you seen how it looks inside of the transmission of this engine, it's don't hold anything. It's only have two teeths on both wheel and clutch. Witch only fit on the gear. So try maybe twist wheel and clutch at the same time and pull it out. Or remove clutch, and give the wheel few gentle taps with rubber hammer in case that is stuck.

    • @cradu6797
      @cradu6797 Před rokem +1

      @@ZecoRestoration it is the rear wheel that you have it on video at 23:10. I tried with 2 screw driver to pull it out but it doesn't want to come out. The wheel is rotating easily and free and the axle is rotating also.

      At minute 4:15 what did you used to clean the motor parts. Is that Benzin?
      I manage to remove that wheel and i opened the motor. Where are that speeds wheels inside, to me was full with grease (vaseline). How can i remove all the grease from there? I know that there should be oil, not grease. Thanks.

    • @ZecoRestoration
      @ZecoRestoration  Před rokem +1

      Yes, it's just a really old, bad smelling gasoline (benzin) which I drained from tank of one of the Babettas. Instead of just getting rid of it, I used it for cleaning. And it cleaned surprisingly well... That's really great that you managed to remove it! How did you do it? And what was the problem that it couldn't be removed before? And that's really interesting, I've never seen that someone put grease inside of engine (Or is it only an old, degraded oil?). And especialy in engine like that, in which for ''idle gear'' even thicker oil is a problem... I would clean it by first removing all the internal parts of engine, then remove large pieces of grease with hands, old screwdriver, etc. And then cleaning the engine blocks with a brush, old toothbrush and for me works best diesel fuel or acetone for cleaning. Or even a cleaning product for engines Arva. But I think that they cannot sell it outside the Czechia and Slovakia.

    • @cradu6797
      @cradu6797 Před rokem +2

      Thanks for the advice. I will try to remove as much grease as possible mechanically then I will use diesel. For the engine parts, casing and everything else I will use benzine.
      I managed to remove that wheel with a large screwdriver. I stuck it in the left side of the wheel, because that's the only place I had access to, and created a little tension by turning the screwdriver. I noticed that it was pulling away a side a bit. I kept forcing with the screwdriver and kept turning the wheel about a quarter of a wheel. I kept repeating until the wheel came out. I think it was stuck in the bearing, because the wheel was spinning so easily. I added also a lot of WD 40 spray.

    Myslím si že nový valec je zbytočný, neni sú tak kvalitne a kanály bývajú tiež horšie opracovane, na piestny cap odporúčam dať ihličky ako to bolo z výroby - menej zvoní a väčšia životnosť. Ale inak super video pekná robota

    • @ZecoRestoration
      @ZecoRestoration  Před rokem

      Ďakujem veľmi pekne 🙂 Isté nedostatky tam určite sú a rád sa nechám poučiť. Valec som zakúpil nový z dôvodu že pôvodný mal vyštiepené z vložky, a tlačil ma čas z dôvodu dokončenia do Vianoc aby mohli ísť Babetty pod stromček ako darček (len tak pre zaujímavosť som ich dokončil až večer 23. decembra) tak namiesto zháňania originálneho valca ktorý by som aj tak musel dávať na výbrus, ktorý by pred sviatkami možno ani nestihli som zvolil cestu práve nového valca. Hliníkový odliatok je taký hrubší, ako keby bol odlievaný do piesku, ale vložka aj opracovanie kanálikov ma milo prekvapilo, možno som narazil iba na podarený kus… A to s ihličkami je úplná pravda.
